Yesterday, April had to take Griffin to the doctor for an ear ache. She knew that by leaving work on a Thursday, her busiest day of the week, that she would have to stay late to make sure everything got done on time. Well her husband, Josh, works nights so she didn't know what she was going to do with all three of her kids while she caught up on work after hours. Well Sister Allison to the rescue! I offered to keep all three so she could do her work without distractions. April left the office at around 2:45pm to take Griffin to his 3:15pm appointment at the doctor. Reece stayed with me. From the time April left, Reece progressively disliked my presence more and more. I tried entertaining her, feeding her, rocking her to sleep, but it did no good. I finally figured out that she just wanted her Mom. Well April and Griffin finally get out of the doctor around 5:00pm and they swing over to pick up Peyton from daycare. They all get to the office were myself, Reece and now Brad were waiting to take them to my house to play Wii. Reece was having NONE of me, so she stayed with her mom. I took Griffin in my car and we headed to Walgreens to drop off his prescription. The entire time we were in the car, he talked about how he was going to play on the Wii. Well, Peyton rode with Brad and their job was to pick up Bella before they came home. Griffin and I make it home and the moment we walk in the door he says, "Ok let's play Wii." I kept trying to put him off until Peyton got there because I knew it would turn in to a fight if they didn't get to play together. So Griff helped me check the mail, water the flowers, feed the dog, etc. Finally, I get a call from Brad saying he, Peyton and Bella are going to be a while because......HE REAR-ENDED SOMEONE!!! He said that everyone was fine and that they would be home in a little while, but I had to go see for myself. So off we go back up the highway to Walgreens (where Brad had the wreck.) Like he said, everyone was fine. I decided that it would be much easier to just take everyone to April's house since we were right by it and I did not want to have to drive allll the way back home. So I loaded everyone up and they realize that we aren't going back to my house....where the Wii is. I tried to explain to them the logistics of just going to their house, but it didn't work. They cried and cried. I then tried to tell them that they could come over this weekend to play our Wii, but they weren't hearing that. They gave me the silent treatment! Neither one of them would talk to me the entire ride to their house. I was in the dog house! So when we got to April's, I did what any good aunt would do.....I bribed them with popsicles! So now we are on better terms. But so much for our fun afternoon.

Happy One Month Anniversary!
One month ago today, I was running around and getting ready to marry my best friend! It really doesn't seem like it's been a month already! Brad has turned out to be a great husband (so far!) He does laundry, cooks for me, takes out the trash and any honey-do's I give him! I guess I'll let him hang around awhile.
To update you on Brad's internship, it is going a little better than it began. He is getting to do more and train with more people. We are really looking forward to August so he can graduate and get a real job! We look forward to seeing you all at graduation! And then comes Football Season!! WOO HOO! We are going to Clemson for the opening game and for Brad's 23rd birthday! It should be a fun weekend.
And don't forget to keep me in your prayers for the next couple of weeks. I leave for Honduras in 18 days! I'm very nervous about going this year because (1) the airport in Tegucigalpa has been indefinitely closed and we have to fly into San Pedro Sula (which is 5 hours further away), which brings me to (2). We will have to ride in a Honduran bus for 5 hours on Honduran highways (basically a one way dirt road along a mountain side that the Hondurans try to make into a 3 lane freeway!) And (3), last year 33 of the 38 people that went ended up getting sick and needing IV's. Hmm....so yeah, why am I doing this again??? Because I'm crazy, that's why.

Surin
Mom, April, Reece and I just got back from eating at a new restaurant named Surin (it's on the Strip.)
Lovely decor, friendly staff, AWFUL food. We each had the Tofu Coconut Soup, which April and Mom liked, but I thought it tasted like pure melted butter. The potsticker appetizer was pretty good, but it's no Benkei. Mom ordered the Basil Chicken...it was so so. April ordered the Veggie Delight...it looked disgusting so I didn't taste it. And I ordered the BBQ Chicken. Gross. It was all gross. Mom loves the place, but April and I? Not so much. Plus there is only a small parking lot behind the building and all of the employees park there! So you either have to get lucky and find a park down the Strip or park 5 blocks away! Weird. I don't think it will be around much longer.
You better believe that I will be waiting at Benkei's door when they open back up on July 5th. I have to eat there at least one more time before I go to Honduras!

Fun Times at MiMi and Pop's
Last night, we went over to Mom and Doug's house for a cook-out by the pool. Fun times were had by all! All including me, Brad, April, Griffin, Peyton, Reece, Big Doug, Medium Doug, Small Doug, Katie, Mom, MawMaw, Bella, Sophie, Jessica and Rosie. Brad and Douglas taught Griffin how to do tricks off the diving board and that eventually turned into all three of them trying to out-do the other. Griffin was the life of the party and is even swimming without his floaties! April took lots of pictures, so as soon as she uploads them, I'll go steal a few and post them here!
Tonight, Brad's working late so I've got a date with my TiVo! And a laundry basket! Sound like fun? Ahhh...wifely duties...
Here are the pictures I promised!

What to blog about...
So I've been thinking about what in the world I'm going to blog about now that the wedding is over. Honestly, there isn't anything particularly interesting going on in our lives. No kids, no big events coming up, just two people working, sleeping and having Mario Party championships...nothing special. Guess we will just have to have a baby! HA!
Here are some more wedding pictures:

Adjusting to married life...
What have I gotten myself into??? Ha. Just joking. But married life is much more of an adjustment than I initially realized. Brad, bless his heart, just messes my routine all up! I guess I'll have to get used to that, though. Here are some wedding pictures:

I'll post some more pictures as soon as I can!

Back to normal
We made it back and boy have we had a busy week! Brad started his internship at the VA Tuesday. So far, all he is doing is reading so he isn't that interested in it yet. He has worked about 60 hours this week. My work has been pretty hectic, too with just trying to catch back up. I chopped my hair off yesterday above my shoulders! It will take some getting used to, but I like it. So other than working this week, I have started on my thank you notes and I even got around to trying to fix up two of my best friends.
I don't have my wedding pictures yet, but I'll post some of my bridal portraits.
