Karate

Noah started karate last August. I thought it would be a great way to reinforce some discipline as he was just starting kindergarten. I never thought he would love it as much as he did. He has progressed through the "cub" class from white belt all the way up to black! This past week, he graduated out of the "cub" class and into the bigger kids class! He has worked so hard this past year to achieve his goal and I am so proud of him! Here are some pictures of him receiving his new white belt!

And is some VERY exciting news for me, I have been trying to get my lifesaver succulent to bloom for almost a year now. I had a surprise today!

Noah goes to First Grade!!

I asked Noah the same back-to-school questions that I asked Cason. Here is what Noah had to say:

Name: Noah
Age: 6
Grade: 1st grade
Favorite color: every color except purple
When I grow up I want to be: a police
Favorite snack: Cheerios
Favorite cereal: Cheerios
Favorite book: every book that I can read
Favorite holiday: Christmas
Favorite food: chicken
Least favorite food: not chicken
Favorite game: Skylanders
Favorite summer memory: going to the beach
3 words that describe me: best finder, good at games, the goodest of all!

Noah is my sweet, tender-hearted, chicken nugget lover. But only McDonald's chicken nuggets or Banquet chicken nuggets...no others. He is THE pickiest eater I know and I can't get angry with him because I was the EXACT same way at his age. He can walk into a room full of strangers and make friends with every single person by the time he leaves. He loves being social and being around people, which is so strange because his Daddy and I are the opposite. Noah loves his brother more than I ever thought he would. He is usually always willing to give up a toy he is playing with if Cason wants it. He is the best big brother. His love language is definitely quality time. He asks me almost every night if I will cuddle with him before bed and he LOVES it when we play a game as a family. He also has an amazing sense of direction for a 6 year old. He has been taking karate for a year now and he still loves it. He has his cub black belt and will soon be graduating into the juniors class. We are so proud of him!

The McWane Center

We decided to squeeze in one more family fun day before Noah started school. He has been asking to go to a dinosaur museum for a while now (because that's where the Power Rangers work during the day) and we knew the McWane Center had a dinosaur exhibit.

Back to School!

Well hey there! I obviously fell off the blogging train, but in an effort to keep all of my memories in one place (and to keep my sister from nagging me TO DEATH) I am going to attempt to do a better job of posting.

Cason is now two and he just moved up to a bigger class at preschool.

I asked him a few back-to-school questions for fun and here is what he had to say:

Name: Me
Age: Cason Michael (He always says his last name is Michael!)
Grade: Danson (His friend from school)
Favorite color: blue
When I grow up I want to be: yellow
Favorite snack: animal crackers
Favorite cereal: blue
Favorite book: sky
Favorite holiday: red reindeer
Favorite food: bread
Least favorite food: stinky food
Favorite game: hide and seek
Favorite summer memory: read a book
3 words that describe me: Me, no me!

That was hilarious!

Cason is such a little squishy lovebug. He absolutely loves his big brother and wants to do everything Noah does. They are both really into Power Rangers right now, but Cason is especially loving Paw Patrol. He is working on potty training. He enjoys having sword fights with Noah, playing outside, cuddling with me, waking his Daddy up in the mornings, doing things himself, giving EVERYTHING a kiss before he goes to bed (a book, the remote, Noah, whoever is on tv, it goes on and on and on), playing hide and seek, and going to school.
