Noah’s first pet!

I bought Noah’s fish yesterday and we gave it to him last night. He loved it!

Then he wanted to play with it.

Then he wanted to throw it on the floor!

I asked him what he wanted to name the fishy and he said, “gggggggggg"! So there you go! We will probably move ggggg into Noah’s room tonight or tomorrow!

Yay for pets!

Teething….it’s of the devil!

We are still teething. I’m not sure if he is still in pain because his vampire teeth are not in all the way or if he is about to cut some more. Hopefully it won’t last too much longer. At least he gets to cuddle and take naps in Mommy and Daddy’s bed whenever he wants in the mean-time!

And to make him feel better, I went today and bought him his very own aquarium! Every time we go to his Aunt April’s house, he stares at her fish tank in awe. I can’t wait to see what he thinks about it! The pet store was out of beta fish, so I just went ahead and bought all the supplies and will go back for the fishy tomorrow!

Hopefully it will make him smile even though he doesn’t feel good. Poor baby!

Crawling vampire! Beware!

Hello! Hello! Long time, no type. Forgive me.

We have officially baby-proofed our house. Noah is on the move. This morning I sat him in the living room floor with a few toys to occupy him while I finished getting ready for the day. I walked into my bathroom and primped for about two minutes and then I felt a tug on my pants.

He crawled from the living room, through the hall, through my bedroom and into the bathroom in less than two minutes! I almost fell out! He used to only crawl with one arm, but now he can use both! Look out! And his new favorite thing is trying to take the little rocks out of the fireplace!

AND we finally got a picture of his vampire teeth! I know he looks like we are torturing him, but I assure you he was fine!

Isn’t he just the cutest little vampire you ever saw?!? Noah will also be making his third trip up to PFChang’s tonight. Now that he likes to try table food, I’ll see how he likes rice!

Happy 7 months Noah!

I know I say this every month, but time is just flying by! I LOVE the stage Noah is at now. He reaches for me, loves climbing on me, gives me kisses, I’m just his favorite person (well besides Daddy)!

Here are Noah’s 7 month stats:

• Still wearing size 3 diapers
• Wearing size 9 month clothes
• I forgot to weigh him today, but I’m guessing around 21-22 pounds

• He can get anywhere he wants! Within the last few weeks, he has mastered the army crawl. Now he can get on all fours and rock back and forth like he is just about to take off!
• His new thing is sitting in front of a laundry basket full of toys and playing for the longest time. His favorite toy is by far our black tv remote control.

• He now has FOUR teeth with more on the way! He has two on the bottom (see the picture above!) and his top two eye (or vampire) teeth!
• Just this week we moved from the baby tub to the big boy tub! The first time we tried it, Noah lunged for a toy across the tub and KERPLUNK! under the water. I almost had a heart attack. But he still loves the water!

• He still looks just like his stinkin Daddy.
• Sleeping through the night, for the most part. The past two weeks have been a little rough with the croup and teething going on.
• Eating 1 jar of baby food for breakfast, 2 jars for lunch and 2 jars for dinner with a bottle in between each meal

• Usually goes to bed around 6:30-7:00pm and wakes at 6:00-6:30am
• LOVES school and takes a 4 hour nap every day
• NEVER naps more than an hour for Mommy and Daddy on the weekends…

• Talking more and more. The only ‘word’ he will say is ‘good’ but I’m still not counting it as his first word because I can’t get him to say it. He just says it when he wants.
• Still loves blowing raspberries but he now knows that he isn’t allowed to blow them with food in his mouth

• Has daily practice with a sippy cup and does pretty good with it. So far we’ve only put water in it. He can get it into his mouth but he hasn’t quite figured out how to make anything come out.
• LOVES Cherrios and Yogurt Melts…hates puffs. He has successfully put two Cheerios in his mouth all by himself!

• Pulled up to his knees while playing with a toy!
• Can sit up by himself perfectly!
• Still fighting eczema but it’s pretty controlled at this point

He is the light of our lives. I know that’s very cliché but it’s true. He is our world! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE being his Mommy and I wouldn’t trade one single sleepless night for anything! He teaches us so much every day. Sometimes I just feel like my heart could explode because I just love him so much!

Fabulous fun-filled FOOTBALL day!

We have SO been looking forward to Noah’s first game day! BUT….last night Noah woke up at 11:00pm and stayed up until 3:00am!! He would drift off to sleep but as soon as we laid him down, he would wake up! So when he woke up for the day at 6:45am this morning, Mommy had to down some serious Mountain Dew to muster up the energy for the day!

First, we had a family photo shoot at home in our game day gear!

Then, we headed to our Bible Study get-together to swim!

After we had lunch, we headed out to the Quad to tailgate! Unfortunately, campus was SO packed (duh) and we couldn’t find a park that was close and less than $20! I only planned on staying about an hour so I just let Brad out of the car (he was going to the game) and headed over to my Mom’s!

Noah and I hung out at my Mom’s for a few hours and spent some time with MiMi and Pop!

After that, we headed over to my sister’s house to watch the game! Noah and I only stayed until they were about half way through the second quarter. It was bedtime! Hopefully tonight, we won’t have a repeat of last night! We have to be at church early in the morning!

I have been trying to teach Noah how to say Roll Tide all week. Yesterday, I was changing his diaper and I said, “Noah, say ROLL TIDE!!” and he said, “Gooood!” then I said, “No not good! Say ROLL TIDE!!!” “Goooood!” Crazy boy!

Is the picture above not freakin Brad McMichael?!!?! It makes me so mad! If I didn’t deliver him, I wouldn’t believe he was even mine!
