I’m still here!!

I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth! But my time is a little more occupied these days.

I take Noah to work with me every day and every spare moment I have that I’m not tending to him, I’m trying to get some work done! And by the time I get home, give Noah a bath and a bottle and put him to bed, it’s 7:30-8:00pm and I’m getting in the bed myself! So needless to say, that leaves little time for blogging….(or cleaning house, doing laundry, catching up on alllll my tv shows that are patiently waiting for me on my dvr….)

So hang in there for me! I promise I’ll get better!

Party time!!

Yesterday, we went to Noah's friend Nate's first birthday party! Nate's mom is super creative and crafty....Nate had three outfit changes throughout the party and EVERYTHING was color coordinated!

Here is the birthday boy, being a ham as we all sang Happy Birthday to him!!

Noah was awake for the whole party and was such a good boy!

As you can see, Noah's cradle cap has completely cleared off his face!! YAY! Thank yall so much for all the advice! He still has it on his head, but it's not nearly as bad as it was on his little face. Mommy's planning on scrubbing his head with some baby oil and a brush tonight before his bath. Hopefully that will do the trick!

Cradle cap SUCKS!

I thought Noah's cradle cap was getting better....then it got worse.

Isn't that pitiful?? Poor baby! This morning when I got to work, my Dad said that he thought Noah's face was swollen. I didn't really notice because I see him all the time. And then when April got to work she said the same thing. So back to the doctor we went!

The pediatrician said that this was the worst case of cradle cap she had EVER seen and kept calling it "very impressive". We have to put hydrocortisone ointment and Aquaphor on his face and neck three times a day until it gets better. If it's not better by Thursday or if it gets worse, we have to go back to the doctor and they will switch him from Enfamil Gentlease to a MEGA expensive allergy resistant formula (Nutrasomething). I REALLY hope it doesn't come to that...Gentlease is expensive enough thanks!



Oh...and last week (exactly a week ago) Noah weighed 10 lb 2 oz. Want to know how much that little piggy weighs a week later? 10 lb 13 oz!!! What a little porker!

Now to totally change the subject-a WW update! Last week I lost 3 pounds! Bringing me to a grand total of.......drum roll please........11 pounds lost! YAY! 31 pounds to go!

One month old! (and other updates!)

WOW! I am so behind! I am going to completely catch you up to date with us so beware-this will be a long post!

On my first week on Weight Watchers, I lost 8 pounds! I am SO excited and I am really sticking to the program. They say you lose a lot the first week and from then on you usually lose 1-2 pounds a week. Woot woot!

I went back to work on Monday with Noah in tow. It has been a very interesting week. A HUGE adjustment to our schedule we were on! With almost a week under our belt with working, I think we are starting to develop somewhat of a schedule.

I think Noah has a touch of colic, along with really really really bad gas pains. We have tried Mylicon drops and just last night we started trying gripe water. The gripe water seems to help a lot so we are just going to keep trying that along with the Mylicon drops and hopefully we will have a happy baby!

Monday, I noticed that Noah had a rash all over his face, scalp, neck and chest. We went to the doctor and found out that he has a combination of baby acne and cradle cap. And get this-cradle cap is not confined to the scalp! It can spread over your whole body! And that's what has happened to Noah. The doctor said that this could last for six months...hopefully not! There is no treatment...it just goes away on its own. I think it's starting to clear up though.

This past Sunday was also Noah's first trip to church!!

And I know this is two days late but Noah is ONE MONTH OLD!! Here are his latest stats:

• We are in size 1 diapers already!
• Most of the newborn clothes are getting too small. He is slowly starting to wear 0-3 months now!
• Noah weighs.....TEN pounds and 2 ounces! And yes, he eats all.the.time!
• I have been peed on twice and pooped on once! Big milestones! :o)
• Noah LOVES his lamb swing and if he isn't done swinging and you get him out of it, he gets MAD!
• He sleeps in our room in his bassinet or glider. Lately, if his bassinet stops swaying he will get fussy until you turn it back on! We are moving him to his crib in his room tonight. We will see how that goes!
• Noah also loves getting a bath. He coos and smiles the whole time and especially loves getting his hair washed. He eats 3-4.5 ounces every 2-4 hours. He eats every two hours for most of the day and usually takes a longer nap in the afternoon. At night, he eats about every 3 hours.
• Noah has started to make eye contact with you when you talk to him. He listens very intently! He has also found his voice and loves making funny noises during the day!
• Mommy and Daddy love him SO MUCH!!!!!!!

I think that catches us up!

At least some of us are getting some zzz's!

We have been trying our best to catch up on some sleep around here. Noah eats about 3-4 ounces every 2-3 hours right now so Brad and I aren't getting very much sleep!

But Noah has been sleeping great!

See?? I go back to work Monday and I hope and pray that I am able to function! And in other ME news...I started Weight Watchers this past Saturday! My starting weight is 167 and my goal weight is 125. So I have to lose 42 pounds! I weighed yesterday, just to see how much progress I had made. And I have already lost five pounds! Just since Saturday! I think it's a mixture of the WW and my uterus that is still shrinking.

Anyway, I'll keep yall updated on my progress! Wish me luck!
