29 weeks

How far along: 29 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: Up 28 pounds
Maternity clothes: I'm sick of them. I'm ready to be skinny again and wear my normal clothes.
Stretch marks: Same ones, but they don't stand out as much as they used to for some reason.
Sleep: It's going ok. But I miss good sleep.
Best moment this week: Getting all of Noah's presents assembled/washed/put away. It won't be long now!
Movement: After our trip to the doctor, Noah must have realized he better start moving more. And he has been kicking me HARD all week long.
Food cravings: Fried rice....actually just the soy sauce. Anything salty really.
Gender: The ultrasound tech confirmed that he's still a boy!
Labor signs: I had a few Braxton-Hicks this week. Those aren't fun.
Belly button in or out: Out
What I miss: Feeling like a normal person...having energy, drinking 8 Mountain Dew's a day, wearing normal clothes
What I am looking forward to: Getting to see our son again tomorrow at our 4D ultrasound (take 2)! Pray he cooperates!
Weekly wisdom: I'm all tapped out.
Milestone: Passing our first non-stress test.

Hopefully Noah will show us his pretty little face tomorrow afternoon. I'm not looking forward to returning to work tomorrow after this long weekend. Usually I am ready to go back to work, but I'm just so tired and so tired of everything hurting all the time. I'm just getting to the point where I'm tired of being pregnant. It's bittersweet because on one hand I love feeling him move around in my belly and I love being about to go and come as I want, sleep when I want, etc. Then on the other hand, I'm so ready for him to be here so I can hold and cuddle him and I can feel more like a human.

So anyway, that's my pity party. I'll be better tomorrow.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving! We spent the first half of the day at my Mom's house and the second half of the day at Brad's Mom's. I weighed myself on my Mom's scale and I have officially gained back that one pound I lost while being sick! Eating all the great food we ate will do that to you I guess! Here are a few pictures...

My granddaddy and Mom

Reece (my niece), Mom and Griffin (my nephew)

Josh (my brother-in-law), Reece, April and me and Noah

Griffin and Peyton (my other nephew) guarding the food!

Stuffing our faces!

Then yesterday, we all almost had a heart attack watching the Iron Bowl. Bama came this close to losing...and you can see the worry in our faces as we were watching the game...

My uncle, Brad, me and Noah...he was really poking out!

Mom and I getting some sugar from Bella and Sophie

Bella has gotten really attached to me lately. She wouldn't leave my side all day!

Trying to keep Noah warm!

My step-dad, Doug and my step-brother, Douglas

This is my favorite picture of all! There was like a minute left in the game and Bama HAD to score a touch down to win. We were all worried!

Needless to say, Bama won!

Today, we have been decking our halls! And when I say we, I mean Brad! It literally took him two hours to pick out a Christmas tree today at Lowe's. He is so picky about his tree! If I wasn't so lazy, I would follow him around the house and take pictures for yall to see....but instead, I'm going to continue to sit in my recliner with my feet up! Blame the baby!

4D Ultrasound...Take 1

Noah's 4D ultrasound was this morning. He was his usual stubborn self so we didn't really get any good pictures of his face. But from what we did see, I think he looks like me! Everything still looks perfect, he's still very much a boy and his heartrate was 148bpm. We go back on Monday for Take 2!

Here, you are looking down on him from the top of his head. He has his hands propped behind his head, relaxing!

Checking his heartrate

The four chambers of his perfect heart

Strong, long legs kicking on my bladder!

He was acting like he was chewing gum the whole ultrasound. He has his mouth open in this picture!

The only half-way decent 4D picture we got of the little monkey. Don't you think he looks like me??

Noah's profile

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving yall! And remember to give thanks to the Giver of little miracles!

Our 2nd shower

Sunday, I had my second baby shower! It was hosted by my sister, April, and my friends Jenn, Brooke J, Rissie and Brooke D. We had a HUGE turnout and had SO much fun! Plus I got a T-O-N of stuff! I feel a lot more prepared for Noah now. Here are some pictures from the shower....

Yummy food!

I would be the only one eating in the picture...

Some of the ladies discussing baby things!

My good friend Donna made that cute diaper bag! She is so talented!

I am in LOVE with my Boppy!

Reece was my helper!

My sister's sister-in-law made that Christmas ornament! It has snowpeople on it and the girl snowwoman is pregnant! How cute?!?

My Mom and Reece reading Noah's baby book

I love opening presents!

Super cute blanket!

Next we played the toilet paper game! Kim won...she's in the green shirt and gray sweater!

Measuring my tummy...I was like 12 sheets I think? That's Rissie measuring me (one of the hostesses)...she does my hair-can you tell? Our hair is the same! Except I've got some serious roots going on in this picture!

Half of the room full of people (April to the left, then Brooke J)

The other half of the room...(Brooke D being goofy and covering her face and Rissie sitting in the floor in the pink)

All of my goodies!

So as you can see, we had LOTS of fun and got LOTS of stuff for Noah! Thanks to everyone that came!

Quick doctor visit

I have become a paranoid mommy. If you read my post yesterday, you saw that I've been worried about Noah's decreased movement. Today was more of the same. He hadn't moved all morning. At around 10:30am, I asked April's opinion on the matter....I pressed here and there on my belly and finally after about five minutes of poking, he finally moved a little bit but that was it. April called her friend that works in L&D and she said to call my doctor. I did and they of course wanted to see me right away.

The nurse immediately found Noah's heartbeat and said it was normal. Then they hooked me up to a monitor to do a non-stress test.

Noah HATES being pressed on. So everytime the nurse would find his heartbeat, she would strap the lower belt on tight and he would move away from it. April and I waited and waited and waited....

This was my view:

They eventually got enough information from the non-stress test and said everything looked fine from it. Then my doctor did a quick ultrasound to make sure everything looked ok. As it turns out, Noah is sitting upright with his head at the top of my belly and his hiney pointing down BUT his feet are up by his head! So I'm not feeling him kick that much because he can't kick with his feet up by his head. So everything is just fine, I just have a stubborn flexible baby!

The good news is........I lost ONE POUND!!! YAY ME!!!! I was so excited! Not having an appetite for a week was a good thing for me! I am still going back to the doctor Wednesday for my 4D ultrasound but I don't have to see my doctor again then unless I just want to.

Check back tomorrow (hopefully!) for pictures from my second baby shower!

28 weeks

How far along: 28 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: Plus 28 pounds as of last week. I go to the doctor on Wednesday and I'll get an updated weight then....I'm hoping that with me being sick and not having much of an appetite, I won't have gained that much!
Maternity clothes: Some of my maternity shirts are becoming too short!
Stretch marks: Same ones...
Sleep: Pretty crappy. Everything hurts these days so it's hard finding a comfortable position.
Best moment this week: My second baby shower!
Movement: He's slowing down a bit. He still moves around every day, but just not as much as he used to. I plan on talking to the doctor about it Wednesday though.
Food cravings: Nothing. My appetite has been horrible this week after Monday's drama.
Gender: After all the stuff I got at my shower today, he BETTER be a boy!
Labor signs: Nothing.
Belly button in or out: Out
What I miss: Good sleep
What I am looking forward to: Our 4D ultrasound next week!
Weekly wisdom: If you are sick, eat things you don't LOVE. Because once you throw it up, you'll never want to see it again.
Milestone: We are now in the third trimester! The home stretch!

Lunch meeting

I had a very important lunch meeting to attend today. I was really stressing out about it because it was with a very important client of mine. A top dog. Someone that I really needed to impress. We talked a while about business strategies, critical commonly made errors and evictions. She wasn't that into the conversation I was presenting at first. She listened, but she kept looking away. I was pretty worried that I had totally bombed this very important lunch meeting......

but I think she still digs me.

I hate that this is blurry because it would have been a really cute picture!

My hostess, Wendy, one set of her twins, my Mom and April

Reece likes comfy pillows!

So there you go! I feel MUCH better today. Thank yall for worrying about me! Noah has gotten a lot of energy from our four day weekend and has been kicking the FOOL out of his momma today! He kicks so hard it hurts! I guess it's payback from drugging him up on Monday!

Hospital Visit

I woke up Sunday morning not quite feeling like myself. But on Sunday mornings I am usually running around so much that I end up not feeling great anyway, so I figured I was just doing too much before church. I made it through the morning and my shower that afternoon. That night, Brad and I went to bed as normal. I woke up around 2am with what I thought was VERY bad indigestion. So I got up and went to sit in my recliner. I figured that if I sat up for a while, the indigestion would get better. About 30 minutes later, my mouth started watering and I made a mad dash to the bathroom to throw up.

I felt better afterwards and assumed that I had just eaten too much for supper the night before. I went to get back in my recliner and no matter what position I got in, I couldn't get comfortable. So then I tried moving to the couch. No luck. Then I decided to just go back to bed. I made it about half way there when my mouth started watering again. So BACK to the bathroom I went to throw up AGAIN. And so it began. From 2:30am-8:00am, I threw up 5-6 times. NOT FUN.

I called my doctor's office and they called me in some medicine. Until I got the medicine, I kept throwing up. My doctor said that if I wasn't better by that evening, I would have to go to the hospital to get an iv. WELL....about 5pm when Brad got home from work, I checked my temperature and it was 100.4. So off to the hospital we went.

Now in the past year, with the fertility treatments we did, I got pretty used to being stuck with a needle. I was used to the pain and in fact, it really doesn't even hurt anymore. Getting an iv is completely different that having blood drawn people! I almost came up OFF THE BED when the nurse gave me the iv. And then I came this close to passing out!

They drew some blood (and my blood was dark purple/black! Weird!) but everything came back normal. So they are guessing I just had some sort of stomach virus. I got some iv fluids and as we were leaving the hospital, the nurse topped me off with some phenergan. I love that stuff. I don't even remember the car ride home or Brad putting me to bed.

I woke up this morning feeling about 30% better. I'm not feeling sickly anymore, I'm just REALLY sore and achy all over. But I'm on the mend. And we got to hear Noah's heartbeat for a good 30 minutes last night in the hospital!

So I'm sitting here drinking my Sprite. Happy Tuesday yall! At least I think it's Tuesday...

27 weeks

Where did my butt go??

How far along: 27 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Up 28 pounds. That's right. TWENTY EIGHT POUNDS!
Maternity clothes: Still wearing them!
Stretch marks: Same ones.....
Sleep: I tried going to sleep in my recliner but I couldn't ever get comfortable. This past week, I've been waking up at like 1 or 2am, WIDE awake and ready to go for some reason.
Best moment this week: Hearing Noah's heartbeat at the doctor AND my first shower!
Movement: Moving like crazy. Saturday morning around 4am, Noah woke me up doing his aerobics! I got up and out of bed because I seriously thought Noah would wake Brad up. He was moving the whole bed!!
Food cravings: Twix
Gender: BOY!
Labor signs: None
Belly button in or out: Mostly out
What I miss: Being skinny
What I am looking forward to: My shower next weekend!
Weekly wisdom: Elevate your feet as much as possible. Otherwise, your feet will swell up and HURT.
Milestone: We have officially completed all of our childbirth/breastfeeding/infant classes! Yay!

Noah and I went to the doctor on Friday. His heartrate was 150 bpm and yes, I gained 10 pounds in three weeks. So I've gained a total of 28 pounds....my doctor hasn't said anything to me about it yet but that doesn't mean I think it's ok! It sucks! But anyway, everything was great with Noah. We go back in two weeks for another appointment and for our 4D ultrasound! Yay for that! I'll post pictures from my shower as soon as I get my swollen hands on them!

Seriously?

So I'm shopping at Lowe's. I stop at the end of an aisle to look at something. An old man walks by me and lets out a loud "WOOOOOOO WEEE!!!!" I turn toward him thinking he was about to pass out or something and he is staring at me. He asks, "WHEN are you DUE?" I look at him like he is freakin NUTS and say "February 13th". Then he says, "WOO. You have a while to go!" And then he turns around and walks off! WHAT THE CRAP!!!!!!!!!

Being healthy and all that crap

My Dad is a health FREAK. The most extreme health freak I've ever met. He goes to the gym just about every day, he's always eating the nastiest stuff (protein shakes, tuna, etc.) and he seriously has less than 5% body fat. The most physically fit person EVER.

This picture is like three years old, but you get the idea!

I, on the other hand, love my french fries and Mountain Dew. If he sees me at lunch, he cringes to see a box of fried food on my desk! But I've always had a high metabolism so I've never had to worry about what I eat.

Now that I'm gaining weight and look bigger than I ever have before, my Dad has decided that his daily goal is to get me to eat healthier. Ha. Ha. Ha. I keep trying to explain to him that I do try to eat healthy now that I'm pregnant, but I just refuse to give up my french fries!

He left town for a week yesterday. So inside I'm thinking "I can really eat bad this week...no one to fuss at me!" And then I get to work this morning and see this on my desk...

A protein bar. Bless his heart. He tries so hard. He actually bought a whole box but begged me to 'just try it'.

I just tried it.....seriously the nastiest thing I've ever tasted. At least I gave it a shot though, right?
