Roll Tide!

That's right. We beat Auburn for the first time in SIX YEARS! 36-0 as a matter of fact. So we didn't just beat them, we SPANKED them! HA! So remember my earlier post about rain boots? We found some at Academy Saturday morning! And here they are:

They are cuter in person, believe me. They only had this pattern and leopard print boots (not in my size or I would have gotten those!) I heard that Target.com sells houndstooth rainboots, so I will be ordering those shortly! ANYWAY, we were quite surprised before the game when they announced that Sara Evans would be singing the National Anthem! You know I love me some Sara Evans! Here she is right above the middle flag girl:

And here's a closer picture, courtesy of the jumbo-tron:

She did great! Oh, and did I mention that it RAINED the entire game? Yeah. I was pretty miserable. Hence my expression below.
But the bad weather didn't damper Brad's mood when it came time to sing "Rammer Jammer." He made us stay until the very end of the game so that he could sing RJ. As he said, "I've been waiting six years to sing RJ to them!!" He couldn't even stop singing to smile for the camera!

Stupid, Stupid Day After Thanksgiving

I have a problem. I can admit it. If I get something in my mind, and then that something doesn't go as planned, I tend to get mad. And this happening happenned today, just a few minutes ago to be exact. Let me just start by saying that I realize that today is the day after Thanksgiving, the biggest shopping day of the year, so there's no need to remind me. The day started out fantastic. Brad got up and left at about 6:15am this morning and I because I couldn't go back to sleep after he left, I read blogs for a few hours. The rest of the morning was wonderful, too. I laid around, watched some movies, read some blogs and even put up all the Christmas decorations inside the house. Brad finally got home and we decided that because we had such a fun time the night before at his Mom's, that we would go back. So I put on a little makeup, threw my hair back in a ponytail and threw on some pjs. (My pjs consisted of a red shirt that's 15 years old, hot pink sweatpants and some Crocs. Remember this because it will be important later.) We ate some leftovers and played another 3 hour game of Phase 10. And get this, I WON! The day couldn't get any better! By this time, it's 9:00pm. Well everybody in Tuscaloosa knows that THE football game is tomorrow. And by THE football game, I mean the Alabama vs. Auburn game! It's very serious business here in T-town. The forecast for tomorrow doesn't look all that great. It's supposed to be rainy (it's been raining all day today, too) so it's sure to be muddy tailgating. So I get the FABULOUS idea of going to Target to get some rainboots! Target has a lot of very cute rainboots. And as I talked about the rainboots, my mother-in-law told me that Academy was selling pink rainsuits as well! PINK! My favorite color! GREAT! I call Academy and they closed at 9:00pm. No big deal, we can just swing by there in the morning before we head to the quad. I call Target and they are open until 11:00pm! YES! So Brad and I, at 9:15pm, drive the 15-20 minute drive across town to Target. Remember my cute outfit I had on? The red shirt, hot pink pants and Crocs? Now normally I wouldn't be caught DEAD dressed this way in public, but I was reallllly looking forward to those cute rainboots. Plus, who actually shops at Target after 9:00pm anyway, right? So we get to Target and it's raining. The closest park I can find is about 6 spaces from Target's front door, but the stupid driver in the next space is parked over the line! No problem, I think to myself. I can squeeeeze in there! I do and we run in the store. To my surprise, there are a number of people in Target at 9:30pm. So I grab my husband's hand and drag him as fast as I can to the shoe section, hoping to not be seen by anyone I knew. We get to the cute rainboot section....and there are NO. RAIN. BOOTS. LEFT. I take that back. There was one really ugly pair of boots that were size 10. Not anywhere CLOSE to my size 7 1/2 foot. I AM PISSED. BEYOND PISSED. I felt like burning something. Like setting Target on fire! How DARE them be out of cute rainboots when clearly it's going to rain tomorrow! It's like every other woman in Tuscaloosa had MY same idea. And it's not like they had a special 'shoe' sale for Black Friday. They had plenty of shoes, just NO rainboots! Well what the hay am I supposed to do now???? I mean, I drove alllll the way across town, go into Target in the rain, with my non-matching PAJAMAS on for NOTHING. NO RAINBOOTS. Please, someone just shoot me now!!! I threw a bit of a temper tantrum right there in the rainboot aisle. I tell Brad, "Let's just GO!!!" I grab him and head toward the door. THEN I see one of our deacons from church with his wife up ahead! Crap. I immediately turn the other way, Brad in tow. We head out of Target on the far far far other side to avoid being seen by them. And by doing this, we had to walk ALL the way back to the car IN THE RAIN. Today sucks. Bad. Stupid Target and their Stupid sold out rainboots on this Stupid, Stupid Day After Thanksgiving. Boo

Side note: I wrote this on the day after Thanksgiving but as SOON as I finished typing this, my internet stopped working. What a wonderful day! My wonderful husband just fixed the problem, so we are up and running again! Whoo Hoo!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We started off the day pretty early, heading to my Mom's at about 9:00am. Wasn't Bella just gorgeous this morning in her matching hair bow??

While I helped Mom cook/clean/prepare for the big lunch, my husband planned his Black Friday attack, newspapers in hand. Needless to say, while Brad goes shopping at the crack of dawn with his Mom and Aunt Becky, I'll be keeping the bed warm!

Here's Mom carving the turkey:

My sister April and my favorite niece, Reece!

My hubby and I

Reece and I

After we all ate lunch, we headed to the house for a MUCH needed nap! Then, we headed over to Brad's Mom's house for dinner. We got to spend time with his aunt, uncle and cousins that we rarely get to see, so that was a real treat! Brad, his mom-Ann, his aunt-Becky, his cousin-Maggie, his cousin-Morgan and I all played a 3 hour game of Phase 10. I came in second.......to his Mom! And it was her first time playing the game! We had so much fun that we are going back tomorrow! And hopefully the rain will subside sometime tomorrow so that Brad and I can go get a Christmas tree and hang the lights outside!
We had such a wonderful day and we truely have so much to be thankful for. Our new little family, each other, our friends, our Bella, our wonderful house, our jobs, our many many blessings, but most of all, we are thankful for our Lord and Savior, our salvation and knowing that our eternal home in glory is secure! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Hubby's 1st Fire!

After much anticipation, Brad built his very first fire in out fire pit last night! We went down to the farm this past weekend to chop down fire wood and yesterday I went to Lowe's and bought him a fire poker set. We had a wonderful time with no tv, no lights (besides the glow of the fire!), and each other! We roasted hot dogs, made smores and I had a blast burning anything I could get my hands on! I can't believe I left my camera at work and didn't get any pictures! I'm so disappointed! As soon as Brad's favorite person, my step-dad Doug, got off work, he headed down to the house, too! We stayed outside until about 9:30pm! You can believe it? I'm getting pretty good about staying up late. In fact, I didn't go to bed last night until 10:00pm! You know I had to read a few blogs before I went to sleep!

Well isn't that ironic...

I am notorious for speeding. If the speed limit is 55mph, I'll go 60-65mph. The interstate automatically means at least 80mph. I've always been this way and I've never gotten a ticket. After thinking about why I've never gotten a ticket (or been pulled over more than I have, which has been 3 times), I came to this conclusion: we tithe. We tithe regularly. That's why we have never had the extra expense of a speeding ticket because we obey God's command, therefore He blesses us for obeying. When I came to this conclusion Saturday, I told Brad. "I've figured it out! The reason I have never gotten a speeding ticket is because we tithe!" He agreed and we went about our business. Fast forward to Monday morning. Mom and I are checking our rental property to make sure everything is ok from the freezing weekend. We were allllmost done, I'm bee-bopping along down the road and then I see it.....a cop clocked me. I was pretty sure the speed limit was 50mph, and I was only going 60mph, so I figured I was in the clear. Nope. Blue and red lights. Crap. I immediately pulled over. Officer Robertson informed me that I was going 54mph in a 35mph zone!!! I looked at him and said, "WHAT! I thought it was 50mph!" He then said, "I need to see your license." Umm....ok. Then my mother screams, "Do you know Josh??" (My brother-in-law that's a cop.) He looked at her funny and said, "Uhh..no." And he walked away. Crap, that didn't work! Then about 5 minutes later he came back, handed me my license and said, "Have a great day!" PRAISE THE LORD! No ticket! God has a funny sense of humor sometimes. :)

Sunday afternoon

My wonderful husband has been chomping at the bit to put the Christmas decorations up. Last year after Christmas, we were walking through Wal-Mart when we saw a 6 foot, pre-lit tree for half off! I had forgotten about the thing, but Brad remembered and put it up today.

I didn't realize how skimpy the tree looked until it was assembled. We always get a real tree for Christmas to put in the living room, but Brad has always wanted another tree that can be seen from the road in front of our house. So the skimpy tree will serve that purpose!

After that feat was accomplished, we headed over to Mom's to spend some time with them. So many leaves have fallen in their backyard and Bella (along with Sophie and Rosie) loves playing in them! Bella is in the Easter sweater, Sophie in the Christmas sweater, and Rosie is naked. :)
Don't you just love that smile??

My gorgeous baby girl!

After the babies were done playing in the leaves, Doug, Mom, Brad and I headed down to the farm to chop down some fire wood. And in the process, we also made a fire while we were there.
As you can see, it got pretty big, so we took pictures in front of it...in true Alabama redneck fashion!

If you know my husband, Brad, and my step-dad, Doug, then this picture is sure to make you laugh. We always joke with the two of them about how much they are alike. This picture proves that!
April and her kiddos soon joined us down at the farm and we stayed until dark. Check her blog soon...she took lots of pictures!
Oh, and just a little side note. Brad and I had a GREAT time at our Sunday school party Saturday night. We played Dirty Turkey (like Dirty Santa, but for Thanksgiving) and I came home with a candle and Brad came home with....Brokeback Mountain.....the gift that HE brought! His plan backfired on him! After dinner, some of us got a game of Phase 10 going. That one game lasted FOUR HOURS!! We didn't leave until after midnight! I was so proud of myself for staying up so late!
I hope you all had as wonderful of a weekend as we did! And this coming work week is only 3 days long! I love the holidays!

Blog Stalking...Part 2

So I have been reading the MCK blog since I posted the last time...about three hours ago. How sad am I? It's like I can't stop! Brad and I have a Thanksgiving party to attend tonight at 6:30pm. I just looked down at the clock, 4:30pm, and thought "Oh no! Only two more hours of reading!" And I've only made it to September 2007! I am going to have to pull myself away!

Blog Stalking

As you can see from my last post, I'm reading the blog, My Charming Kids. I like to read a blog from the very beginning before I read any new posts, so I'm trying to catch up as quickly as I can. The only problem with that is that the writer of the blog posted 552 posts in 2007. That's more than one post a day! I spent about 2 hours last night reading and about 1 hour this morning. That's three hours people, and I am only to June 2007! So I'll be reading for several more hours I'm sure. So anyway, last night I was watching a video that she posted of her oldest child, I think he was 2 at the time, singing a song. It was so cute, I had to show it to Brad. The conversation went as follows:
Me: "Honey, look at how cute he is singing his song!"
Brad: "Who's kid is that?"
Me: "I don't know, but look at how cute he is!"
Brad: "You don't even know these people?"
Me: "Not technically, no. But I feel like I know them!"
Brad: "Where do they live?"
Me: "I don't know. Somewhere in the Midwest."
Brad: "Why are you reading about stuff that happened a year and a half ago?"
Me: "Because I like to read them from the beginning. You are missing the point."
Brad: "So you are reading a blog of someone you don't know...just for fun?...That's really weird."
Me: "You just don't understand!!!"
So this morning, I began to think, maybe I am weird. I know my sister blog-stalks, too. Maybe we are just weird like he says. Then I had lunch with one of my best friends today and she told me she blog-stalks, too! So I have officially come to the conclusion that blog-stalking is a female sport. Who knew?

Grey's Anatomy

My most favorite show!

Last night's episode was GREAT! First of all, what the heck is up with Izzie SLEEPING with Denny? I mean, seriously? He's a ghost! I can't figure out where the writers are trying to go with that story line. Is Izzie crazy or what? I just don't get it. And secondly, those INTERNS! That Sadie girl is crazy. Psycho crazy. Cutting her own appendectomy incision crazy! I am shocked that they all didn't get kicked off the program or arrested for that matter! And what is up with that army doctor and Christina? That's just a weird relationship....that I kind of like. And poor stupid George FINALLY realizing that Lexie is in love with him. About freakin time. And if Bailey quits doctoring because she is 'tired' I will just cry. She's the rock that's holding everyone together!

SO that's my Grey's rant for the week. Hope you enjoyed. And I found an awesome new blog. www.mycharmingkids.net I LOVE reading blogs when people document before, during and after a pregnancy and this blog does it twice! She also does all kind of things I am not used to but find very interesting: making all of her babyfood, being a stay-at-home mom, her kids are 3, 2, 1 and 2 weeks, lots of stuff! A very good read!

SO busy!

Sorry I have been slacking on blogging lately. I have been so so so busy at work and at home! But I promise I'm going to get back on track soon!

Kobe Japanese Steakhouse

Brad, Mom and I just got finished eating at Tuscaloosa's newest restaurant, Kobe. Mom and I had eaten at Kobe in Birmingham before and knew it was good. We love love LOVE some Japanese food, Benkei especially, so we had high expectations going in. When we walked in the door, my attention was immediately drawn to the huge pond/fountain thing. All of the decor was beautiful and very 'Japanese' looking. We were immediately seated in a back room. The restaurant is divided into several different rooms of two grills, making it easier to accommodate large parties. The atmosphere was great and very intimate, unlike any of the other Japanese restaurants around town. The soup was great, almost as good as Benkei. The salad on the other hand had really watery dressing. Yuck. We also ordered gyoza. They were pretty good, but not as good as Benkei's. Brad ordered chicken-tasted good. I ordered filet-pretty dang good. Mom ordered scallops-DELICIOUS! The best we have ever had! Their shrimp sauce wasn't that great, but they also gave everyone their own bowl of ginger sauce, which was yummy. The service was the best of any restaurant in town. My glass of Pepsi was never less than half empty. Overall, I give it 3.5 stars out of 5. Still no Benkei, but somewhere good to go if Benkei is closed!

A day at the farm

Sunday afternoon Brad, Mom, Doug, Katie, Ben and I all went down to my grandparents' farm. The boys were there to build two stair rails for my grandmother and the girls went to supervise. We all had a great time spending time with each other. We even built a fire to poke at! Here are some pics from the day:

Oh how I've waited for this day.

Definitely NOT pregnant. So I guess we will start trying in May. I'm sad, but I know it's for the better.

On a brighter note, I saw something this morning that completely made me feel better. Almost God's way of telling me it's ok, that He's in control. I was checking on a rental house this morning when I saw this:

It's a worm in the shape of a treble clef!!!! How cool is that?? I know, you think I'm weird, but that's awesome!! For those that don't know me personally, I LOVE music and love singing. In fact, I sing in my church choir and on the praise team. So to see a worm in the shape of a treble clef on a really bad day?? That's a pretty cool God thing, in my book.

Our internet

Problem #1- We live out in the boonies. And in a new subdivision. So internet, let alone high-speed internet, would be hard to come by. While we were searching for a way to have internet at the house, we talked to Directv and they said that the only way we would be able to have high-speed internet is through their affiliate, Wild Blue. It would cost around $200-$250 to buy the equipment (which included a satellite) and have it installed. After that initial fee, the internet would be $40.00 a month for the first year and $50.00 a month for the second year (you have to sign a two year contract). With this looking like our only option, we took it. I called Directv and set up the installation day. Which leads me to...

Problem #2- The date that we set up, Brad was sure to take off work so he could sit at the house from the specified time the technician was to arrive....8:00am-12:00pm. Around 12:30pm, Brad calls Directv because the technician hasn't shown up. Directv informs him that the technician couldn't pull up directions to our house from Mapquest (new subdivision, remember?) and they didn't have our phone number. ??????? They sure had our phone number when they installed our Directv satellite dish, didn't they? Brad was highly ticked. Eventually, the guy from Directv told Brad that a new technician would be out on the 11th, two and a half weeks later. And at this point, we had already paid the $250.

Problem #3- The technician was scheduled to be at our house, again, from 8:00am -12:00pm. My mother-in-law was at my house at 7:30am and the technician didn't arrive until like 2:30pm. He then calls Brad to tell him that because the studs in our walls are 9 inch studs, he is unable to run the cable through the outlet, therefore the only way to install the cable would be to drill a hole in the ceiling and run the cable down the wall. EXCUSE ME!!!??!??!? I don't THINK so. Then he says that he could drill a hole in the closet ceiling and run the cable cord down the closet's wall and just run the cord along the baseboard to the computer. At this point, I was just wanting to tell them to shove it, but Brad really wants internet at the house, so we told them that that was fine.

Problem #4- The satellite dish is too heavy to be installed on the roof, next to our Directv satellite. Instead, they have to install it on a pole in the yard.....And yes, at this point I was HIGHLY ticked. The technician said that he could install the pole by our AC unit and that it would look ok. Fine, whatever.

Problem #5- We get home last night and try to get on the internet. It is seriously the speed of dial-up. DIAL-UP people. I paid $250 + $40 a month for dial-up speed? I don't think so!

Problem #6- This is what I saw when I went outside this morning:
Are you KIDDING ME!?!?!?!???! I mean, he could have gotten the huge ugly thing a little closer to the house instead of out in the middle of the yard!!
Look how big the stupid thing is!

This is my 5-foot self standing next to the monstrosity.
And this is what you can see from the road by my house. Can you see it?
Needless to say, they will be receiving a phone call today.

4th Test

Why yes, I am delusional. And yes, it was negative. I took it this morning. I just don't understand how I had all those symptoms for 2 1/2 weeks and then BOOM, no symptoms and no positive. It just doesn't make any sense to me. I was reading one of my pregnancy books last night and it said that if you are wondering if you are pregnant, you should first and foremost rely on your maternal instincts, which are greater than any pregnancy test. I let out a big HA! at the book. What a load of crap. My 'maternal instincts' told me I was pregnant and they LIED! What do you say about that you stupid book! I still won't know for sure until Thursday, though. But like I said, I'm sure I'm not. And in all actuality, not being pregnant right now would be for the better. I don't have thousands of dollars lying around to cover those hospital bills! We are still set on trying for a baby in May, that's when our maternity coverage on our insurance policy will kick in. So that's that I guess. We FINALLY got internet installed at the house today thanks in part to my mother-in-law who had to sit at my house from 8:00am to sometime after 3:30pm waiting for the stupid technician to install it. Maybe now Brad can finish his franchise classes online. I'll update Thursday, just in case a miracle happens! Thanks for the continued prayers that God's will will be done in all of this.

3rd Test

I couldn't wait until Monday to take the test when I read the box and it guaranteed a 64% chance of an accurate result taking it today! It, too, was negative. And I don't know if it's in my head or not, but I haven't been experiencing any symptoms for the past day or so. I'm really doubtful that I'm pregnant now. But I realllllly hope that I am. REALLLLLLLY hope! I have two tests left and I am going to try my hardest to wait until Thursday to take one. But I'm not the most patient person! Ha. This morning in Sunday school, our class prayed for our 3 expectant mothers and their babies. I couldn't help but feel jealous. I didn't know whether to join in on the prayer and secretly pray for my baby too, or be jealous that they were all pregnant and I'm not. I hate this not knowing. It's an awful feeling. I don't see how a lot of women with infertility wait month to month to month hoping to be pregnant. It's like life just gets put on hold and the only thing you think about or dream about is seeing the positive on the pregnancy test. Hopefully after Thursday I won't have to wait anymore.

Saturday, November 8, 2008

Negative

So very negative. I'm starting to wonder how crazy I really am. Brad and I just went and bought three more pregnancy tests. I plan on taking one Monday morning and if that's negative, I'm just going to wait until Thursday. I'm really discouraged now. Maybe this was all just wishful thinking? Maybe I really did just convince myself I was having symptoms. I don't know at this point. And it's driving me crazy. I'll update Monday after I take that test. Hopefully I'll have more positive news then.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow

I have been waiting for Saturday morning all week. I am so excited it's almost here! Today has been the worst, most awful day. I hope the test shows up positive tomorrow and I don't have to wait another 5 days. This is killer! Tonight I am going out to eat with my parents and Brad to try and pass the time along and still having fun! I've been crying pretty much all day today, had my usual craving for a Cherry Limeade from Sonic, and almost threw up at lunch time! Woo Hoo! Bring on that baby! I don't know what I'm going to do if we find out I'm not pregnant. I'm just so sure that I am, I would almost bet my life on it. And now my hopes are very high and so are my family's. I'd hate to have to let everyone, including myself, down. I know it will be very hard, considering our stupid health insurance, but I feel that this is just so right. I mean, how many people actually take birth control pills, never miss a pill, don't take any other medications, and end up pregnant? Not very many. I'm just a basketcase waiting and waiting and waiting. If the test tomorrow is negative, I'm almost tempted to just go buy a couple more to take every day until Thursday! I'm not kidding people! Please, Please, Please pray for me. I'm driving myself insane here. I'll update as soon as I can with the results tomorrow! PRAY!

Waiting...

So have I mentioned that this waiting is killing me? Seriously. With the amount of modern technology we have today, doesn't it seem like we should have a pregnancy test that will tell you you are pregnant THE DAY IT HAPPENS by now?!??! Geez people....get off your butt and make me a faster pregnancy test!!!!

Updated symptoms: We figured out that my 'morning sickness' was caused by me taking a multi-vitamin on an empty stomach. Boo. BUT last night at church, I was feeling VERY sickly. I was hot, then cold, hot, then cold. I bet I took my jacket on and off about 30 times. And every time I would get hot, my mouth would water up so fast, I thought I would throw up. The smell of the steak tips and rice that were served at dinner last night almost made me throw up too, but that probably happened to everyone! Ha. And I feel so bloated. SO bloated. I feel like if someone poked me with a stick, I would POP! And I'm craving Sprite?? I hate Sprite! What's up with that?? If I'm not pregnant, I am seriously going to be so shocked. I just don't see how someone could make themselves have pregnancy symptoms like these. The pregnancy test we bought Monday is the 'five days sooner' test. I am going to take it Saturday morning...five days sooner! The waiting is killing me. But even if that test is negative, too, I still won't be convinced until I get period. SO until then, I'm just wishing, hoping, praying....and waiting.

BABY!

I was getting my hair highlighted this morning. Normally, after my stylist (who is pregnant!) foils my hair, I sit there for about 20 minutes and wait for the coloring to dry (or 'lift' as she says.) Well today, I sat there for the usual 20 minutes and when my stylist came back, she was looking in my foils to see if my hair was done and she had a funny look on her face. She said, "Your hair isn't lifting. Do you know what that means?" Nooo....."That means you're probably pregnant." WHAT!!!!!!! Then when she sat me under the dryer, the magazine sitting on top of all the others read, "Is Jennifer Aniston PREGNANT?" It's taunting me! My stylist said that pregnancy hormones make your hair hard to lift! Ding ding ding!! So now I am 99% convinced that I'm pregnant. I can see how I could make myself have certain symptoms, but how could I make my hair hard to lift???? HELLO! Only 8 more days!

VOTE!

It's Election Day people! Brad and I drove by our voting place this morning at 7:00am to find cars parked half a mile down the street and the line 100 people long. So we are going home to get our tailgating chairs after work, then go back to our voting place and set up camp! Fun times. AND if you vote today, you can get a free cup of coffee at Starbucks AND a free doughnut at Krispy Kreme (as long as you are wearing your "I Voted" sticker)! Sucks for us because they will all be closed by the time we get our stickers tonight!

In baby news: we bought a pregnancy test while grocery shopping last night. The box had two tests in it....so I took one, just in case I was actually pregnant with twins-it would show up positive already because of the increased amount of hCG with another baby. But it was negative. So no twins, but I'm still convinced I'm pregnant. We will know more by the 13th!

Another baby post

Warning: This post may be too much information for you!

It's no big secret that I want a baby and I want one now. Brad does too but with our health insurance policy, you have to be married one year before any maternity coverage is offered. So that means=no baby until May. Well.....the ladies on my side of the family are, let's just say, VERY fertile. One of them-very close, bloodwise- got pregnant TWICE on birth control. So there is a great chance that I could get pregnant while on birth control, too. For about two weeks, I have had a feeling I was pregnant. Weird symptoms: very scatter-brained, hot flashes, dizziness, being tired, on the edge of tears over nothing (and I NEVER cry!), having no skinny days (ha, don't laugh), etc. But I haven't missed a period yet. I just feel pregnant. Brad says I am making myself have symptoms because I want to be pregnant so bad and maybe I am, I don't know. But anyway, my Dad has a really bad habit of pointing out that I'm not as skinny as I used to be. He is an avid health freak that works out almost everyday, drinks all kinds of protein shakes and crap AND has like 5% body fat. And let me just take up for myself here and say that I am not fat. A little fluffy, sure, but fat? NO! So he walks up to me at work today and says, "My baby's filling out..." I turned about 5 shades of red, gave him a devil look and said, "I'm probably PREGNANT, OK?!?!?!" and almost burst into tears. So yeah, I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm turning into a basket case. Psych ward anyone?

Our celebrity status....

JUST INCREASED!!!

Last week, April, my Dad and I were invited to sit in Paul Bryant Jr.'s skybox for the homecoming game!

Yes I said Paul Bryant Jr. and YES I said SKYBOX! We were VERY excited about the opportunity to see the game from the skybox....BUT....we were also VERRRRY excited at the chance of meeting Sara Evans!! We knew that she and her new husband, Jay Barker, had a skybox so we hoped and prayed that we would be able to meet her! Later on last week as we started to tell our friends about our plans to meet Sara Evans, we heard that Eva Longoria (from Desperate Housewives) was going to be with Sara!!!! OMG! April and I immediately went out and bought new outfits! HA! So Saturday rolls around and we get up to the beautiful skybox.

We walk in and introduce ourselves to everyone and get comfy in our seats for the pregame cheers, shakers in hand. The music starts....the cheerleaders start cheering....so do we...and we look around and NO ONE in our skybox is cheering. Oops. But that doesn't stop a TRUE ALABAMA FAN from cheering on the TIDE!!! So we eventually loosened everyone up (it might have helped that they were all drinking, too....). Half time rolls around and April and I are both thinking the same thing.....Let's go find them!! So we walked around outside the skyboxes and we see five Tuscaloosa Police Officers standing outside a box. SCORE! And then....out came.....

SARA FREAKIN EVANS AND EVA LONGFREAKINORIA!!!!!!!!

We were seriously like 6 inches away from them. Sara was really nice and waved to us, but Eva acted snooty and covered her face up. Butt head. So as you can see, we had a BLAST!! Look at the view:
Oh, and did I mention that Alabama is #1 in the polls today??? NUMBER ONE?!?!?!? ROLL TIDE!!!!
