I've FOUND it!

I was shopping in Sugarfoots this week and I found my baby bedding! Boy AND girl!!

Here is the girl bedding...

And the boy bedding...

Halleluah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can relax now!

Show Us Your Life!

The theme for Show Us Your Life this week is Wedding Party/Flowers! Hop on over to Kelly's blog to join in!

So be prepared-I'm going to overload you with pictures! I had Jester's do my flowers (they are here in Ttown). The flowers were the one thing I refused to skimp on. I wanted PINK, I wanted BIG and I wanted PRETTY! So I paid an outrageous price for them! And when I say I, I mean my Dad!

Here is my bouquet.

My throw away bouquet

In the very back, on the stage, are three HUGE flower arrangements! This was the only picture I had of them!

The pew markers

Some flowers at the reception

Flowers surrounding the unity candle (and my Mom!)

My flowers again and my bridesmaid's flower....leading me to my wedding party! From left to right they are Katie-my stepsister, Julie-a friend from childhood, Me, April-my sister and Matron of Honor, and Abby-my best friend and Maid of Honor!

Brad's groomsmen were Keith-his brother and Best Man, Michael-his brother, Jacob-our long time friend and Forrest-his brother.

Because our flower girl wasn't really walking at the time, Griffin (to the left of Brad) and Peyton (in front of Brad) pulled Marley (in my lap) in a wagon down the aisle! And Greyson (between Brad and I) was our ring bearer! The boys are all our nephews and Marley is a friend's daughter.

And there you have it!

Hurry up 2nd trimester!!

So in the past week, I've been experiencing a LOT of this...

and this...

Holy crap this is hard. For the headaches, I've tried drinking a Mt. Dew and it helps sometimes. And my doctor said that I could take Tylenol but I really don't like doing that. So I don't know what else to try.

And for the nausea, I bought some of this today...

And let me tell you-I would rather be nauseaous than taste that crap again!! YUCK! I've also tried sucking on hard candy....now it makes me sick to taste the candy!

So I need some ideas of things to try! I'm all out of ideas.

Baby Bedding

Yall I am majorly stressing out about the baby bedding. I can't find any that I like! And I want to at least narrow down the field to one boy bedding and one girl bedding so that as soon as we find out what we are having, we can get started on the nursery!

SO....where did you get your baby bedding or where have you seen some super cute stuff??? I don't really want any bold colors-I want baby looking colors. And remember that my furniture is white!

Thanks for the help!

Ultrasound

Two posts in one day=Go Me! I uploaded the short version of our ultrasound from last Friday. Here you go!

11 weeks

This week I've finally been getting some energy back! The nausea has been in full force, but hopefully that won't last too much longer. My belly is growing like crazy....I think it looks bigger in pictures than it does in person, though.

We also finished putting together the baby furniture this weekend! Now we just need to know the sex of the baby so we can paint and decorate! The armoire wasn't as big as I thought it was going to be, so I was a little disappointed by that. BUT at least the room isn't as crowded as I thought it was going to be either!!

This is the crib. Excuse the tools everywhere!

The armoire

The changing table-my favorite!

And is everybody else as excited about The Bachelorette Finale tonight as I am!??!?

Doctor's Appointment

Our appointment went very well this morning. Baby is fantastic and having lots of fun swimming around in my tummy! Baby's heartrate at 6 weeks was 129bpm, leading me to believe Baby was a boy. BUT at 10 weeks 6 days, Baby's heartrate was a whopping 167bpm!!!! When the US technician said, "Alright, the heartrate is...167." I said "HOLY CRAP!!!" What a jump! I've never heard of a boy's heartrate being in the 160's! So now I'm having second thoughts on the gender. Maybe I am having a girl!! And speaking of gender, my doctor told me that we would do the gender US in 8 weeks! YAY! At my next appointment in 4 weeks, I won't have an ultrasound.....that's going to be weird because I've always had an ultrasound at my appointments! I guess I'm just a regular old pregnant lady now, no special IF treatments like regular ultrasounds!

So without further ado, here is the cutest little alien you have ever seen:

OH and Baby is measuring 11 weeks 1 day....that's GREAT!

I mean, seriously, isn't he/she CUTE!?!?! I think so. We also got a DVD of the ultrasound. It's pretty cool, seeing the baby moving around. You can even see one of his/her arms and a foot kicking! BUT I can't figure out how to save the video to my computer to be able to upload it. So as soon as I figure it out, I'll post it! I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow! Here's to the last two weeks of my first trimester! WOO HOO!

My Wedding Dress

I haven't done a Show Us Where You Live Friday in a while, but since this week's theme was Wedding Dresses and I just got married last year, I decided I would join in! If you want to be super cool and join in as well, hop on over to Kelly's blog!

Ok, so I know I'm a little biased, but I had a pretty awesome wedding dress.

I didn't think I was going to be able to wear a strapless dress...because...well my tata's are so big. And I'm not tooting my horn when I say that....I wish I had small tata's! Anyway, I found my dress at Amanda's here in town.

And speaking of tata's, I know that's ALL you can see in the above picture, but I wanted you to be able to see the design!

I also loved the bottom of my dress. It had some beading along the bottom and three rows of a cream colored fabric.

This is my Mom and I.

This picture cracks me up. Peyton was not in the mood to take pictures and Griffin knew Peyton was about to get in trouble!

My dress had a little bit of a train to it, which made the dress about 20 lbs! But I knew I wanted something princessy.

It was also pretty difficult to dance in, but I still would have gone with the same dress just because it was so beautiful!

My sassy face.

And there you have it. I didn't realize how much of a baby bump I have now until I saw how skinny I used to be. :o) My doctor's appointment is in the morning! Wish us luck!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

So I know I already posted earlier today, but that was just a little post so it doesn't even really count!

This is how I feel right now:

A pen in one hand, food in the other and passed out. We have had six interviews today and I am POOPED! And just a little tip in case you have an interview in the near future....bringing gifts to your interviewer always makes them like you just a little bit more than they did before!

Picture collage-Woot Woot!!!!

So with a little determination and a little help from Kelly at Kelly's Korner, I FINALLY figured out how to make a picture collage! So it's on the left sidebar, as opposed to the slideshow that used to be at the top of the page. I know it's small...I can't figure out how to make it bigger without messing it up, but at least it's there! I'm so excited about it!

10 weeks

I'm a few days late, but hey-I got it on here, right?

And no, I'm not trying to stick my belly out. I'm very sway-backed, which is another reason why my belly is getting so big so quickly! This week the symptoms have been about the same-fatigue, nausea, burping, sensitivity to certain smells...and speaking of smells, I almost gagged the other morning while I was putting on my mascara! I was just holding it in my hand like I do every morning and I almost couldn't even put it on! And I've never smelled it before. Weird.

We finally started to put together the baby's furniture this weekend, with the help of Brian and Jenn. Brian helped Brad put the furniture together while Jenn, Bella and I supervised!

Two men reading instructions. Can you believe it?

The finished crib. Somebody thinks it's her new bed... Notice the smile on her face?

So happy to be getting a new baby sister/brother!

Seriously. Even if she wasn't mine, I'd think she's the most precious thing in the world. Look at that face!!

The changing table....this picture cracks me up. 1500 pieces....the joys of having a baby!

The crib is completed and the changing table is about half way done. The armoire is still in the box! I didn't realize how small that room was until we started putting the furniture in there! It's going to be really cramped, so I'll have to get really creative with the decor!
I go to the doctor this Friday for my next ultrasound! I'm so excited!

Priorities

When my husband SHOULD have been putting together baby furniture (the numerous boxes in the background), he instead thought that he could use his time more effectively. You know, do something MORE important than preparing a room for his CHILD...

Because, really, is there anything more important than playing tug-of-war with Bella and her Santa Claus? I think not.

Oh happy day!

This morning, I was sitting in my recliner eating breakfast with Bella, when I heard something outside. I got up to see what was going on and FedEx was delivering my furniture! I've been really worried about it coming and getting stolen or something with all the mess that's been going on in my neighborhood. So I opened the door and asked the delivery guy if he minded putting the stuff inside, which he did! YAY! So I guess Brad and I will be busy all weekend putting everything together!

The day progressed pretty much the same as any other day. UNTIL.....April called me into her office to give me some good news! I mean, what news could be better than my baby furniture coming in?!?? And that's when she told me....that's when it DID get better.....she told me...that......Sonic started selling PICKLE-O'S again!!!!!!!!!!

[Insert choir singing "HALLELUAH!!!] Have you ever seen a more heavenly sight??

I've been attacked by a parasitic wasp

Well, hypothetically. Ok, I'm about to freak your freak a little bit. If this is too much for you, I apologize. My mind is warped-even more so now that I'm pregnant. You've been warned...

Ok so in case you haven't seen the documentary on the Discovery Channel, let me fill you in a little bit on the life of a parasitic wasp. The pregnant momma wasp flies around looking for a pretty little caterpillar to lay her eggs into. She injects her eggs into the caterpillar like so:

Everything is fine and dandy for a while. The caterpillar goes about it's merry way until BOOM!! The hormones being produced by the wasp babies take over the brain of the caterpilar, making it do things it doesn't necessarily want to do. It makes the caterpillar's body do all sorts of weird things it's never done before. The brain and body of the caterpillar are held hostage until the baby wasps dig their way out of the caterpillar's skin and the caterpilar either dies or returns back to normal.

I am the caterpillar people. My body is no longer my own. It's a house. I'm a house. I hardly even recognize myself sometimes. My tummy gets bigger by the day, my boobs are getting bigger, my skin has a different pain tolerance than it once did, I burp at LEAST 100 times a day, my lower back feels like it's going to break by the end of the day, I can barely stay awake until 5:00pm, I'm hungry-but when I eat I get sick..............AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!....................

Ok. That's my little freak out. I'm done. Sorry about that. I feel better now.

9 weeks

Another week has flown by! This week, my sense of smell has really picked up. Wednesday, Brad cleaned something at the store with bleach. That night at church, all I could smell was the bleach on his hands. He scrubbed and scrubbed his hands at work and once I saw him and could still smell his hands, I made him go scrub them again! But it didn't do any good. So I ended up sitting five people away from him at church and I could STILL smell the bleach...to the point where I had to get up and go to the bathroom because I really thought I was going to loose it!

I'm also getting to the point where it's a little uncomfortable sleeping on my stomach....probably because my tummy is SO BIG! I've always slept on my stomach and could never sleep any other way, so I'm interested in seeing how that all works out.

I'm also still getting nauseous every once in a while, but it's not that bad. And by the way, can I please tell you how much I am LOVING freezer pops right now?!? Those things are the best invention ever!!

I also got a new cell phone this week!

I am in love! It's the iPhone 3G with the pink cover! Woot Woot!

And in case you glance at the time on this post and know that I never wake up early, you can thank the IDIOT that banged on my door at 4:00am this morning. We have been having problems with people knocking on our door (and apparently our neighbor's doors) at all hours of the night. So when it happened this morning, I was PISSED. Brad and I jumped into the car and drove through the neighborhood looking for the little crackhead. No luck, but I called the police anyway to drive through and see if they saw anything suspicious. So little crackhead, if you are reading this, SCREW YOU.

SO have a lovely Sunday!

Baby talk

It amazes me what some people will say to me now that I'm pregnant. "I can tell you've gained weight." "There aren't twins in there, are there?" "OH MY GOSH, you're HUUUGE!" Don't you just love blunt people?

So I haven't cleaned my house since BEFORE I got pregnant. I mean, I pick up after myself and everything, but I'm talking hard-core cleaning the house. And by the time 5:00pm rolls around and I get off work, I can barely hold my eyes open to even see to clean! So my mission tomorrow is to wake up bright and early and clean until I pass out. I'm so excited! I love to clean, I just haven't had the energy to clean in a while.

Yesterday, I filled out Baby's application for his/her pediatrician. That was interesting. "Relation to child......Umm...Mother??" That justs looks weird! I'm going to be someone's Mother??? Holy crap I'm pregnant, aren't I?!?

I've also started looking into which day care facility we will be using. And in case you weren't aware, day care is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive!! But we've narrowed down the field and I think we've decided on using the day care at our church. We know a lot of people there and I've heard really good things about the program.

So all of that coupled with April and I enduring the hiring process for our new Leasing Agent is the reason I've been such a blog slacker this week! Much apologies! Beverly-our favorite Leasing Agent-has decided she wants to go back to school to become an RN...Yay for her, bad for us! So needless to say, we've been swamped with resumes and scheduling interviews all week!

I can't believe I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow! It's all going by so fast! And I can't wait for my next ultrasound in two weeks! Baby will look like a real baby!!

Hope yall have a great weekend! If you aren't doing anything in the morning, stop by and help the pregnant girl clean house!

O O O O'Reilly's!

So Sunday, while we were still at the beach, my car wouldn't crank up. So first thing Monday morning (after we got back into town), I took Bessie (that's my car) to O'Reilly's so they could do some sort of test to see if I needed a new battery. Testing...testing...testing...yes I needed a new battery. BUT the store I was at couldn't install batteries until after noon. NOON?!?? I don't think so! So the nice O'Reilly guy, whom I actually went to high school with, said that their 'other store' could put my battery in right away. Now while this may sound like a great idea, the 'other store' is in the GHETTO. And by ghetto, I mean-people getting shot at, things getting stolen, hookers on the sidewalk-GHETTO!

After much consideration, I decided that I better just suck it up and go over there because I need my car!! So I get to the ghetto O'Reilly's, go inside and there are three women sitting behind the counter, talking about...Michael Jackson...what else, right? I tell one of the ladies, let's call her Stupid, what kind of car I have blah blah blah so she can tell me what battery to buy. Everything is going swimmingly, I purchase the battery, and then I say, "Umm, you do have someone here that can install this, right?" Stupid: "Yeah." And then Stupid walks from behind the counter with my battery, grabbing some sort of tool on her way, and goes outside and up to my car. "Ohhh lovely" I say to myself. Now let me set the record straight in saying that I am all about feminism and not depending on a man, but come on people. Why are there THREE WOMEN working at O'Reilly's with NO men around? It's a freakin car store!!! Anyway, I tell myself that maybe-just maybe-Stupid will actually be able to do this.
So Stupid starts trying to get the old battery out. 5 minutes....10 minutes...15 minutes....At this point Stupid has gone inside 5 times to get a different tool....20 minutes...Another one of the girls comes outside because it is SO obvious that Stupid is having trouble. 2nd girl takes all of 3 seconds and the battery is out. Yay for 2nd girl! Let's keep her!! But no...Stupid insists that she can handle it now. Stupid tries to insert new battery.....25 minutes.....30 minutes....Stupid drops the freakin screw that holds the battery down into the BOTTOM OF THE CAR. "Oops...don't worry, I'll find it!" says Stupid. 35 minutes.....Stupid comes back out of the store with a flashlight and a long stick with a magnet on the end of it. Stupid digs around trying to grab the screw with the magnet.....40 minutes.....did I mention it's POURING DOWN RAIN at this point? 45 minutes....Stupid realizes there is no way she can get the lost screw....Stupid attempts to install the battery again....Stupid starts 'schooling' me on the different parts of the battery by saying things like "This whatchamajig keeps the battery from vibrating" "These thingymabobs hold the battery in place" "This dinglehopper connects to this doohicky to start the car!"......(I am so beyond annoyed at this point.)....50 minutes.....the battery is IN! THANK YOU JESUS!!!....Stupid tells me to turn the car on...I do...everything is fine until....BOOM CLAP TING TANG CLAP CLAP....Stupid screams "TURN THE CAR OFF NOOOOWW!!!" I run with all my pregnant might and turn the car off.....Stupid tells me that the lost screw hit the fan, but is now at the bottom of the car and shouldn't make that noise again.....55 minutes....Stupid goes inside to find another screw to replace the screw she lost.........ONE HOUR.....Stupid tells me she is done and says "Now if anything goes wrong, you know where to find me!" Now THAT might be the funniest thing I have ever heard.

8 weeks

I know, I know. I'm as big as a house. Go ahead and tell me...everyone else has! My grandmother, who is the sweetest person on Earth, told me today that I looked like I'm having twins. Just what I wanted to hear!!!!! But seriously, it just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger! I look like I'm 5 months pregnant!! I really am going to be as big as a house by February!

Symptoms: I can hardly even sleep on my stomach anymore. Not because of my tummy, but because of my boobs! They are SO sore that it hurts to have them squished up against the bed. I am finally used to my new eating schedule, without getting sick! Yay! I still get a little sick every once and a while, but it's not too bad. I have energy in the mornings, but by the time I get off work at 5:00pm, I can hardly move anymore. I'm looking forward to my doctor's appointment in a few weeks!

We had a BLAST at the beach this past weekend! Unfortunately, I missed out on some of the festivities (including fireworks on the 4th) because I couldn't stay awake! This baby is already changing life as I know it! I got a little sunburnt on my legs, but other than that everything went peachy!

Now I've got to go watch The Bachelorette! YAY!

Here I am!

I promise I have not fallen off the face of the Earth! Post coming later tonight...

I want...

and some of this...

and this!!!

Ha! Yall I am craving some crab claws so bad. We are going to the beach tomorrow after work with some of our best friends and I am SO excited!! What could be more fun than a long 4th of July weekend at the beach with friends?!?! NOTHING!
Do yall like my new picture slideshow at the top of the page?? I hope so! I tried and tried and TRIED to make a collage of the pictures so they would be side by side for a better comparison. Unfortunately, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to do that, so you get the slideshow instead! I can already tell a difference in the pictures! And I'm telling you, I feel like I look five months pregnant already! So if you see me in real life, please pretend I look skinny and tell me so!
I ordered our baby furniture today! Woot Woot! Hopefully it will be here next week!
So what are YOU doing for the 4th?
*By the way, I apologize for the last part of this post being one big, confusing paragraph, but Blogger is being a FREAKIN IDIOT and won't space everything out like I'm TELLING IT TO!!!!!!!!! I HATE YOU BLOGGER!!!!!!!
*Sorry again for the crazy pregnant Allison coming out a little. I'll work on that...
