He got his very first taste of cake and what better cake to introduce him to than Celebrations’ strawberry cake?!?

Excuse the mess he left from supper! Winking smile

He LOVES balls of all kinds, so we decided to get him a ball pit.

We now have all 517 of those balls throughout our house.

Now it’s time for a little Cason update! (even though he is technically 13 months old now!)

-We just recently moved up to size 5 Pampers Swaddlers. Hubba hubba!

-He is wearing size 12-18 month clothing and some 18 month outfits.

-He weighs around 24 pounds. He has also had an ear infection for over a month. The weird thing about him is that whenever he has an ear infection, he shows no signs! No fever, no irritability, nothing. The only reason we found out about it is because the doctor saw them at his one year check up! We tried an antibiotic for a week, and they were still infected at his check up. So then we tried a different antibiotic for 10 days. I thought he was doing fine until I got a call from school the day before his next check up that his eye was swollen. The next morning it looked worse so I took him in to the doctor and basically she said his ears were STILL infected and that’s what was making his eye swell. So then I had to take him to the doctor for three days in a row to get one shot in EACH thigh. FOR THREE DAYS IN A ROW. That’s six shots for those counting. It was awful. Hopefully, when we go back to the doctor tomorrow, we will be all clear. Otherwise, it looks like Cason will be getting tubes.

-He finally got some teeth!! Right around his birthday one popped through on the bottom and a few days later, the other bottom middle one came out! Yay for two teeth!

-Baby boy still loves to eat. He’s getting a little pickier these days but overall he will eat just about anything. Especially if he sees you eating it. Right now, he really loves bananas and goldfish.

-He is walking like a pro and can even run a little bit.

-Sleep is also great. He starts getting fussy around 6:15-6:30pm so we give him a bottle (gasp! Yes he still takes a bottle) and rock him. Then we lay him in his crib and he sleeps until around 5:30am. He is only taking one nap a day at school from noon-2pm, but at home he usually takes about an hour nap around 9am and a two hour nap from 12-2pm.

-He says uh-oh, Dada, Daddy, Mama (finally), Beh (Bella), baba (bottle), he has said buh-buh one time when I was trying to get him to say ‘brother’, this weekend I gave him my phone to play with while I was changing his diaper and he held the phone to his ear and said “hello!”. I almost fell out! He can also say bye-bye and wave. And he can blow kisses and give sugar!

-He is really enjoying playing with Noah these days. He is tall enough to climb onto Noah’s bed now so he thinks that’s super cool. They love wrestling with each other and with us. Life with boys!

-We put child locks on all the lower kitchen cabinets because he kept trying to pull out all of my pots and pans! He also tries his hardest to sneak into Bella’s room and climb into her cage. I can always tell when he’s about to head that way because he gets this mischievous look in his eyes and just smiles! Love it!

I think that about wraps him up! He is so so sweet and loving and I just love him to pieces!

Cason walks!

Here is the video of Cason starting to walk that I posted about below! He also says "hey" and claps!

Thanksgiving

We started off celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday with Noah preforming as an indian named “Flying Fish” at his school.

After his program, he got to leave school early and spend the rest of the day with his Mommy! When I asked him what he wanted to do, he said he wanted to go to the place with the purple umbrellas. Yogurt Mountain it is!

And I also never got around to taking Cason’s 11 month picture so here is a picture of him around that time. Also the day he discovered his love for waffles!

Please excuse the mess. I DID however write Cason’s 11 month post when he turned 11 months and just saved it until I could take his picture. Since that never happened, here is what I wrote…

Yes, I agree that I am a horrible mother for not having a 10 month post! We could never remember or make time to take the pictures! Bad bad bad!

So we need a large recap this month!

Oh my sweet Cason. Do you know how much I LOVE you??

-Size 4 Pampers Swaddlers

-Wearing 12 month clothing mostly. He can sometimes squeeze into a 9 month outfit and sometimes a 12-18 month outfit. Just depends on the brand.

-I have NO idea what he weighs. I guess we will find out at his one year check up (SAD)

-He got his first (and second) haircut! He loves having his hair cut and sits so still!

-NO TEETH! I’m starting to wonder if he will ever get any!

-Just because you have no teeth doesn’t mean you can’t eat though! He still loves food. All the food. He will basically eat anything you give him. Right now, he enjoys a waffle or oatmeal for breakfast, and chicken nuggets/grilled cheese/yogurt for lunch and dinner. Or I’ll give him some of whatever I’ve cooked for the night. Some of his other favorites are rice and beans, bowtie lasagna, green beans, and watermelon.

-He is a professional stander these days. And by his birthday, I’m sure he will be walking with ease. He’s taken as many as 12 steps without falling! He is working so hard at it. You can see the determination on his face!

-He is sleeping like a champ. He gets a bottle when he starts getting fussy at night, usually around 7pm, and when he’s done, we put him in his bed and he goes to sleep. He usually wakes up around 5am-5:30am. Sometimes he will sleep in until 6am on the weekends.

-He still loves his Mommy! His favorite thing to do is crawl all over me, hold me down and give me sugar!

-Cason loves to play with Noah, as usual, but lately he’s been loving playing with Bella! We are working on learning how to be easy with her and petting her instead of pulling her hairbows and trying to ride her! Ha!

-As far as his vocabulary, he says da-da, Daddy, beh (Bella), da-doo (I have no idea what that means, but he says it all the time) and I think that’s about it. No ma-ma!

-He will clap when you say “Yay” or when you say “Pat-a-cake” and he will wave bye-bye on command!

Ok, now back to Thanksgiving. Are you lost yet? Smile

Next, we got to go to my nephew’s Thanksgiving feast at school.

And theeeeeennnn, my sweet little baby boy started WALKING!!! I have tried and tried to figure out how to post a Youtube video on Live Writer and for the life of me, I can’t figure it out. Maybe one day!

So we celebrated Thanksgiving Day with both sides of our families and as always, I forgot to take ANY pictures of it.

But Thanksgiving night, I did something I’ve NEVER done before. Black Friday shopping! By husband is a professional at this sport so it was fun to tag along with him. We sat outside Target in the FREEZING cold for over an hour but I enjoyed getting to spend some time alone with my hunny! And by alone, I mean sitting in line with 400 other people.

So there’s our Thanksgiving!
