Bunco!

Last night was HalloQUEEN Bunco! After many nights laying awake trying to decide what kind of queen I would be for Bunco, I finally came to a conclusion.

A pregnant prom queen!

Good thing those 18 pounds have all gone to my belly, right?

Fall Festival

Yesterday we had our annual Fall Festival at church! Some of the Sunday school classes set up games and such for the kids to play and get candy. They call it Trunk-or-Treat but nobody gives candy out of the trunk of their car like you are supposed to do! We are all too competitive and have to out-do each other's classes and have super cool games to play! Most of the kids dress up, too......but you will never guess who had the cutest costume...

I mean, I know I'm biased. Really I do. But is she not the cutest?!?!!!?

April brought the kiddos out too! Reece wasn't too sure at first....

But Uncle Brad warmed her up quick and helped her play Plinko!

Peyton playing...

I'm a bad Aunt and didn't get any pictures of Griffin. Sorry Griff!

Taelor Brooke also graced us with her presence.

AND I got to spend some time with Noah's best friend, Nate! I could just eat him up!

Ahhh...there's nothing like a Sunday afternoon!

24 weeks

How far along: 24 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: Do I really have to answer this question??
Maternity clothes: Wearing them exclusively!
Stretch marks: I woke up Saturday morning thinking I had my first stretch mark....but it was just a line from the pillow that I slept on! Thank God!
Sleep: Going great!
Best moment this week: Hearing Noah's heartbeat and finding out that he is still doing perfectly!
Movement: His movements are in more of a pattern now. He moves around a LOT but he only kicks maybe 2-3 times a day.
Food cravings: Chocolate, Taco Casa, grapefruit juice
Gender: BOY!
Labor signs: None!
Belly button in or out: It changes. In the morning it's a little bit in, but in the afternoon/evening it's mainly flat with a little bit poking out at the top. It's the weirdest thing I've ever seen in my life! I would take a picture, but it kind of grosses me out and I really don't want to gross YOU out!
What I miss: Wearing my wedding rings :o(
What I am looking forward to: My first shower in three weeks!
Weekly wisdom: Propping your feet up for even 10 minutes can make you feel like a new woman!
Milestone: VIABILITY!!!!!!!

Doctor's Appointment

Noah and I had another check up today. Everything is looking great! His heartrate was a strong 156bpm! And speaking of 156............ I. weighed. 155 pounds!!!!!!!!!! HOLY CRAP!!!!! For those keeping track, that means I've gained SEVEN pounds in four weeks and a total of EIGHTEEN POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!! MOOOOO!!!! No more cake for Noah! I was just sure my doctor was going to yell at me but he didn't say anything about it. And I was too embarassed to ask if that was an ok amount of weight to gain! But I seriously feel like a cow now! I've NEVER seen those numbers on my scale!

Along with hearing Noah's heartbeat and finding out just how much cake I've been eating, I also had to do the dreaded glucose test.

Sorry this picture is blurry and I've got some serious fat face going on. And I promise I really do have eyebrows! They are just really blonde and don't like to show up in pictures! But I wanted the memory!

My battle wound...

I'm supposed to hear back this afternoon if I passed the test or not. I hope I do. I realllly don't want to have to take the three hour test! Have a great weekend yall!

Update: I made an 88 on my glucose test and the nurse said that's within a normal range so I passed! YAY! And I forgot to mention earlier that I go back to the doctor in 3 weeks and then I start going every 2 weeks! YAY!

Rude comments

I've been meaning to start a list of all the rude comments people have said to me since I got pregnant, but I just haven't gotten around to it....until NOW!!!

*Are you sure there is only one in there?!?!?!* My grandmother-who just happens to be the sweetest, most loving person I've ever known-says this to me every. single. time. she sees me. She is convinced that I've having twins and told me that she wouldn't believe there was just one baby until I had him!

*If you are this big already, I can't even imagine how big you are going to be in February!*

*Hmmm...you know with that sweatshirt on, you don't even look pregnant! You just look fat!*

*Your baby's heartrate was 129bpm?? (At my 6 week ultrasound) Something must seriously be wrong with your baby!*

*I'm sure you will explode before February. There's no way you will make it until then as big as you are now!*

Ahhh, aren't people just lovely? I'll add to the list as the comments come. I've had a lot more rude comments but my pregnant brain is preventing me from remembering them!

In the past few days both my cell phone and my home computer have died. I lost all my numbers, pictures and apps in my cell phone and ALL my pictures on the computer. Guess I should have saved those on a disk or something, huh?

Thanks for yalls input on the nursery! Yall gave me a lot of good ideas! As soon as I decide what I want to do, I'll post some pictures! Happy Hump Day!

23 weeks

How far along: 23 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: We will find out Friday at my doctor's appointment!
Maternity clothes: I'm actually wearing a shirt that is NOT a maternity shirt today!!! Woo Hoo! AND I found this life saver. It has a band in it that helps support your belly, which lessens back pain! YAY!
Stretch marks: Still none, thankfully!
Sleep: Some nights are good, some nights are bad. I still wake up every 2-3 hours, too.
Best moment this week: Filling up Noah's closet with clothes!
Movement: Tuesday he was kicking up a storm! All the girls in the office got to feel him dancing!
Food cravings: Fried rice with TONS of soy sauce and egg drop soup
Gender: Still boy!!
Labor signs: Nope
Belly button in or out: COMPLETELY FLAT!
What I miss: Have I mentioned Red Bull??
What I am looking forward to: Our doctor's appointment on Friday!
Weekly wisdom: It's never a good idea to tell a pregnant woman that she doesn't look pregnant-just fat...
Milestone: Only one more week until viability!!!

So I had my mind made up that I was going to give up praise team until after Noah was born. It just takes so much out of me. But.....I just couldn't do it. Not yet. I love it so much....I don't want to feel like just a bump on a log for the next few months, you know? I want to be doing something. And I really think my belly support thing is going to help; it helped this past Sunday (even though I wasn't singing). So I don't know. I plan on taking a leave sometime in the future, but I just can't part with it yet!

Happy Monday! (If there is such a thing!)

Happy Birthday Griffin!!

UPDATE: To see pics of Griffin's birthday party at the skating rink from this past Saturday, check out my sister's blog here!

Today is my oldest nephew's 7th birthday! I vividly remember laying in bed at my Mom's house, hearing the telephone ring at 3am, picking it up and hearing April say, "Oh my gosh-my water just broke!!" I was 15 when he was born and I remember being so excited because I got to drive to the hospital with my Mom! And I also remember coming this close to passing out when Griffin was born! :o)

Happy Birthday Griff! I love you!!!

Noah's nursery

Warning: Picture overload coming your way!! Noah's nursery is pretty much finished. I still want to make it more personal and home-y by putting pictures, picture frames, knick-knacks, etc. around the room. But this will give you a general idea of how everything looks!

The window valance and the lamp

The lamp and the armoire

The changing table. (That's Bella in the floor!) I also ordered some personalized letters that spell Noah's name and that match the bedding that we plan on hanging above the changing table.

The SUPER cute mobile!

The bedding! YAY! And I would have preferred the mobile on the side of the crib, but there aren't any rails to attach it to on the side.

Noah's carseat....just waiting on Noah!

The big picture. I still want to put something on the wall above the crib...I just don't know what.

And a good friend of mine, Rissie, made this bib for Noah! How stinkin cute!?!?

I bought this onesie and paci clip before I knew Noah was a boy! And my Big Mama bought the socks!

And NOW.....Bella's Halloween costume!!!!!!!!!

Is she not the CUTEST bumblebee you EVER SAW?!?!?!!? Gah I have the cutest dog on the planet. I could just pinch her little face off I love her so much!!!

Ok, so give me some feedback on the nursery! What can I put on the wall behind the crib?

22 weeks

How far along? 22 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Up 11 pounds as of three weeks ago.
Maternity clothes: Some maternity shirts are already getting too short!
Stretch marks: Still none!
Sleep: I'm waking up about every 2-3 hours during the night. April says it's my body getting used to having to get up! I always fall right back asleep, so that's good!
Best moment this week: Getting Noah's room organized!
Movement: Still mostly moving in the morning and at night. He kicks me so hard sometimes that I let out an "OH!"
Food cravings: Grapefruit juice. I can't get enough.
Gender: Boy!!
Labor signs: None!
Belly button in or out: Seriously almost flat now!
What I miss: Not having back pain...
What I am looking forward to: Baby showers!!!! I have one in about a month! YAY!
Weekly wisdom: Standing on your feet for hours at a time is no longer a good idea. But at least the back pain gives you a good excuse for a back rub!
Milestone: Getting Noah's room finished! I'll post pictures sometime this week.

I decided that I would try and go to the football game this weekend. Brad has been having to go without me all season since I was so miserable the first game and refused to go anymore! But the high Saturday is only supposed to be 53 degrees AND it's a night game so I won't have to worry about getting too hot. Hopefully Noah will do ok at his second football game!

April gave me a TON of baby clothes (that Griffin and Peyton wore when they were babies) for Noah. I mean like 4-5 bags FULL. So I'm going to start going through them, washing and hanging them up this week and weekend.

I'm so tired all the time now. I thought I would have more energy at this point but by the afternoon, I'm just exhausted. I feel so useless!

Anyway, I'm going to try to take pictures of the nursery tonight so hopefully I'll post those tomorrow!

The moments when I hate my job...

So it's been a while since I've shown you some good pictures of rental houses that have been completely trashed. April and I had to inspect a house this morning and as soon as I walked in I said, "This is SO going on the blog!" We also heard probably around 30ish gunshots while we were there, too. Ahhh, the joys of property management!

The kitchen. The dark brown stuff around the cabinet doors? Roach poop. The little spots all over the floor? Roaches. LIVE roaches!!

More roach poop. ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER!!!!

Mold growing in the shower...

A nice, thoughtful pile of garbage.

There. I hope that makes you enjoy your job a little bit better today! Happy hump day!

21 weeks

How far along? 21 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: Again, I didn't weigh myself. I really need to start doing that...
Maternity clothes: The dress I wore in the picture above was actually NOT a maternity dress! I was so proud!
Stretch marks: None! I put on that belly cream once a day!
Sleep: Going great.
Best moment this week: The beginnings of Noah's room coming in the mail!
Movement: All the time!
Food cravings: Nothing in particular. Just the normal pizza, fruit, Mexican...
Gender: He better still be a boy after all the stuff I've already bought him!
Labor signs: None!
Belly button in or out: Still in
What I miss: Being able to get through praise team practice in one piece. I can seriously hardly do it anymore.
What I am looking forward to: Putting the nursery together once everything comes in!
Weekly wisdom: My mind has left me....I have no wisdom today.
Milestone: Being another week closer to viability!

The reason I have on a black dress in this week's picture is because I was leaving to go to my grandmother's funeral. She died Friday after a long battle with Lupus. Here is a picture of her and my grandfather (her husband of 57 years) at my wedding. I love you Nonnie!
