Huston is here!

Huston Palmer Haney! He was born yesterday at 12:29pm, weighing in at 7 lbs. 2 oz. and 18.5 inches long! He's a cutie!

April and Jamie

He looks like a doll. So cute!

April and I went to the hospital after work yesterday to see him and when we got there, the nurses had just taken him out of the room for a bath. We waited for like an hour and a half but we never got to see him! So we had to take pictures through the glass. :o( I told Brad last night that he better hurry up and get a job....I'm getting the itch!

Snipits from the week

We still haven't heard back from Brad's interview with BFGoodrich OR from the resume he turned in at JMF. It's driving me NUTS!!!! He is going to set aside some time Wednesday to actively search for more job prospects. PLEASE pray that something turns up. Brad worked 12 hours yesterday and did the same all last week and will more than likely be doing the same this week. He's exhausted!

In other news, since Mom and Doug are out of town, their dog Sophie spent the night with us last night. That poor child doesn't know what to do with Mom out of town. She probably thinks she has been abandoned! She cried allllllll night last night. She sat at the end of the bed, looked at the door and just cried! Thankfully, Mom and Doug will be back Friday so hopefully Soph can hold out until then!

In other other news, my sister's close friend Jamie is having her baby today! Baby Huston will probably make his entrance this afternoon or tonight! I'll try to get some pictures tonight!

Hope everyone is having a good week!

It's time for Bessie to retire.

Poor Bessie. She has been a trooper over the last two and a half years. She's been through 5 (minor!) collisions in her lifetime, she needs new brakes and frankly, I'm sick of her! Momma needs a new car! SO.....meet Shenequa!!!

Isn't it gorgeous?!?!? I reallllly want this car. Unfortunately, I'll probably have to wait until Brad gets a new job before he will let me get it. Sad, I know. But wouldn't I look fabulous behind the wheel of that car???

Husband for Hire!

Brad's interview with BFGoodrich was three hours long! Can you believe that?!?!? He said that they should call him within two weeks to let him know if he got the job or not. Brad really wants a government job (something like the VA) so working at BFGoodrich isn't his ideal job, but they have reallllly good benefits. I hope he gets a job soon! He is working some pretty crazy hours right now at the sub. He gave his resume to Jamison, Money and Farmer last week and they also said that they would contact him within the next two weeks. Please pray for us and keep your fingers crossed that he gets hired soon!

It's official!

Brad graduated Saturday morning! My little accountant! He looked so handsome in his robe. He is SO excited to be finished with school. It's all he talks about!

We just received some great news that Brad has an interview with BFGoodrich in the morning. Please pray that everything goes well and that he gets the job!! He comes from a long line of BFGoodrich employees, so hopefully they will let the tradition continue! I'm so proud of him!

He's so grown up!

He just got out of school and is in route to see me and his Mom to let us know how his first day went. I'm sure I'll update with some funny stories! You never know what will come out of that child's mouth!

Destin

We had a fun, yet exhausting, weekend in Destin. We left Tuscaloosa as soon as I got off work Friday afternoon and arrived in Destin around 10:00pm that night. It took us about an hour to find our hotel because TomTom was not cooperating. Saturday was wet and rainy so we went shopping for a while and then we watched movies with Greyson, Ann and Carl. Saturday night we all went putt-putting at the Track and Greyson beat everyone! (Technically he came in last, but everytime we asked him how many strokes he had, he said One Strike!!)

Greyson and I playing putt putt

Then came Sunday morning....and deep sea fishing. We all arrived at the dock at 5:30am and left out about 6:00am. I made sure to take some Dramamine an hour before we left.

At 5:30am, before boarding the boat

I did good until about 10 minutes after we left. It was all downhill from there. I never threw up, but I came oh so very close. Forrest and his girlfriend Kristin were not so lucky. They both lost their breakfast. Even Brad and Carl got seasick towards the end of the trip. As soon as we got back on land, we learned that the reason the water was so choppy was because of the tropical storm Eduoard!! Never do I ever want to go deep sea fishing again. EVER. Among the 5 of us that went, we only caught about 12 fish.

And to top that all off, I think I have been suffering from a sinus infection for the past week. My doctor is out until tomorrow and the MedCenter has been extremely busy all day, meaning there will be a several hour wait. No thank you. At least I have Bunco tonight!
