Happy 8 months Noah!

8 months

It’s getting more and more difficult to make Noah sit still long enough to snap his picture! You can see one of his little vampire teeth in the picture above.

Noah has changed SO much in the past month! He is growing up SO FAST!

8 months 2

Here is what Noah has been up to this month:

  • Wears size 3 diapers
  • Weighs about 23 pounds (chunky!)
  • Wears 9-12 months clothing, mostly 12 months though
  • We are no longer army crawling….it’s full force big boy crawling!

8 months 7

  • We have FIVE teeth and I can see a sixth one right under the skin!
  • Sleeping through the night, when he’s not teething
  • Eating a jar of baby food (something with cereal or oatmeal in it) for breakfast, a fruit and veggie for lunch and a fruit and veggie for dinner with a bottle between each meal and one right before bed

8 months 4

  • Loves snacking on Cheerio’s, yogurt melts and veggie puffs. He can feed himself very well now!
  • Still practicing with the sippy cup
  • Expert raspberry blower and tongue-sticker-outer!

8 months 6

  • He follows his Mommy everywhere!
  • Goes to bed around 6:30-7:00pm and wakes up around 6:30am…but lately on the weekends he doesn’t wake up until 7:00-7:30am!
  • Takes two naps a day…one in the morning (about 1-2 hours) and one in the afternoon (about 2 hours)

8 months 5

  • He can crawl anywhere and pull himself into a sitting position with perfection!
  • LOVES LOVES LOVES to jump!
  • He can also pull up by himself in the crib, but not anywhere else

8 months 9

  • It’s also officially time for his first haircut! He has a big cow-lick in the back that will.not.lay.down.
  • Eczema is still a pain in the hiney. But we are still keeping it controlled well as long as we don’t get too hot and sweaty.

8 months 8

  • We are also working on learning what NO means! Noah loves getting into anything he’s not supposed to including the fireplace, night lights, Bella’s food…
  • We’ve stopped saying ‘good’. Now it’s only ‘ggggggggggg’. I’m working on getting him to say “Mama” though. He won’t say it but every time I do, he smiles the biggest smile!
  • We are also working on signing ‘more’ instead of grunting VERY loudly when he wants some more of something.

8 months 3

He is changing so much every day. I miss him so much when he’s at school! I’m working on not running to him every time he lets out a whimper. Daddy thinks I’m making him a sissy! So I’m working on it.

Noah, Mommy and Daddy love you so much! You are the best thing in our lives and we look forward to watching you grow more and more (just not too fast, ok?).

Shrimp Festival 2010

Thursday night we left town and headed south to Gulf Shores to the annual Shrimp Festival!

(My pictures are not the greatest…I forgot my camera, so these are courtesy of the iPhone!)

We got in late Thursday night and were woken up VERY early Friday morning by little Brad! So we went to Duck’s to eat breakfast!

And THEN we went to the festival! Unfortunately, it was like 90 degrees (at 9:30am in October….what the crap!) and it didn’t take long for Noah’s eczema to break out. So we waited in the car for Daddy and Uncle Brian to finish shopping.

Then we ate lunch at Sea-n-Suds (YUMMO!) and headed back home!

We can’t miss Griffin’s birthday party tomorrow!

Pulling UP!

Just yesterday I was reading a friend’s blog about her 8 month old pulling up. Noah will be 8 month’s old on Saturday and I thought “Oh no! He doesn’t know how to pull up yet! He’s falling behind!”

This morning, we got a little carried away with breakfast so I took off his pajamas in the kitchen and sat his naked self in his crib while I decided what he was going to wear for the day.

I decided on a cute little outfit, then turned around to see this…

He just looked up at me like it was no big deal and that he did it all the time!! I jumped and squealed and yayed for him! He was so proud!

Did I mention that we now have FIVE teeth?!? He was up allll night Saturday night, then Sunday morning I saw his bright shiny new front tooth!

He’s growing up too fast!!

Noah’s first pet!

I bought Noah’s fish yesterday and we gave it to him last night. He loved it!

Then he wanted to play with it.

Then he wanted to throw it on the floor!

I asked him what he wanted to name the fishy and he said, “gggggggggg"! So there you go! We will probably move ggggg into Noah’s room tonight or tomorrow!

Yay for pets!

Teething….it’s of the devil!

We are still teething. I’m not sure if he is still in pain because his vampire teeth are not in all the way or if he is about to cut some more. Hopefully it won’t last too much longer. At least he gets to cuddle and take naps in Mommy and Daddy’s bed whenever he wants in the mean-time!

sleeping

And to make him feel better, I went today and bought him his very own aquarium! Every time we go to his Aunt April’s house, he stares at her fish tank in awe. I can’t wait to see what he thinks about it! The pet store was out of beta fish, so I just went ahead and bought all the supplies and will go back for the fishy tomorrow!

Hopefully it will make him smile even though he doesn’t feel good. Poor baby!

Crawling vampire! Beware!

photo 5

Hello! Hello! Long time, no type. Forgive me.

We have officially baby-proofed our house. Noah is on the move. This morning I sat him in the living room floor with a few toys to occupy him while I finished getting ready for the day. I walked into my bathroom and primped for about two minutes and then I felt a tug on my pants.

pulling up on Mommy

He crawled from the living room, through the hall, through my bedroom and into the bathroom in less than two minutes! I almost fell out! He used to only crawl with one arm, but now he can use both! Look out! And his new favorite thing is trying to take the little rocks out of the fireplace!

AND we finally got a picture of his vampire teeth! I know he looks like we are torturing him, but I assure you he was fine!

Isn’t he just the cutest little vampire you ever saw?!? Noah will also be making his third trip up to PFChang’s tonight. Now that he likes to try table food, I’ll see how he likes rice!

Have a great weekend and Roll Tide!

Happy 7 months Noah!

7 months 3

I know I say this every month, but time is just flying by! I LOVE the stage Noah is at now. He reaches for me, loves climbing on me, gives me kisses, I’m just his favorite person (well besides Daddy)!

7 months 2

Here are Noah’s 7 month stats:

  • Still wearing size 3 diapers
  • Wearing size 9 month clothes
  • I forgot to weigh him today, but I’m guessing around 21-22 pounds

7 months 8

  • He can get anywhere he wants! Within the last few weeks, he has mastered the army crawl. Now he can get on all fours and rock back and forth like he is just about to take off!
  • His new thing is sitting in front of a laundry basket full of toys and playing for the longest time. His favorite toy is by far our black tv remote control.

7 months 6

  • He now has FOUR teeth with more on the way! He has two on the bottom (see the picture above!) and his top two eye (or vampire) teeth!
  • Just this week we moved from the baby tub to the big boy tub! The first time we tried it, Noah lunged for a toy across the tub and KERPLUNK! under the water. I almost had a heart attack. But he still loves the water!

7 months

  • He still looks just like his stinkin Daddy.
  • Sleeping through the night, for the most part. The past two weeks have been a little rough with the croup and teething going on.
  • Eating 1 jar of baby food for breakfast, 2 jars for lunch and 2 jars for dinner with a bottle in between each meal

7 months 5

  • Usually goes to bed around 6:30-7:00pm and wakes at 6:00-6:30am
  • LOVES school and takes a 4 hour nap every day
  • NEVER naps more than an hour for Mommy and Daddy on the weekends…

7 months 7

  • Talking more and more. The only ‘word’ he will say is ‘good’ but I’m still not counting it as his first word because I can’t get him to say it. He just says it when he wants.
  • Still loves blowing raspberries but he now knows that he isn’t allowed to blow them with food in his mouth

7 months 11

  • Has daily practice with a sippy cup and does pretty good with it. So far we’ve only put water in it. He can get it into his mouth but he hasn’t quite figured out how to make anything come out.
  • LOVES Cherrios and Yogurt Melts…hates puffs. He has successfully put two Cheerios in his mouth all by himself!

7 months 9

  • Pulled up to his knees while playing with a toy!
  • Can sit up by himself perfectly!
  • Still fighting eczema but it’s pretty controlled at this point

7 months 10

He is the light of our lives. I know that’s very cliché but it’s true. He is our world! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE being his Mommy and I wouldn’t trade one single sleepless night for anything! He teaches us so much every day. Sometimes I just feel like my heart could explode because I just love him so much!

Mommy and Daddy love you Noah! Happy 7 month Birthday!!
