Noah’s 18 month check up

Last week, we took Noah to the doctor for his well appointment. He weighed 25.7 lbs (50%ile) and was 32 1/4 in (50%ile). His growth has definitely slowed down since he started walking running! That child NEVER sits still for more than 30 seconds unless he’s sleeping!

18 months

He is still wearing size 3 diapers, but we will be transitioning to size 4 after we run out. We bought a potty after Noah starting telling me when he pooped AND after we realized he was a little scared of the big potty. He loves to talk about the potty and always tells me when he poops (afterwards). So we are taking small baby steps in the potty-training direction.

Noah will eat: chicken nuggets, yogurt, grapes, strawberries, waffles, oranges, apples, crackers, nutrigrain bars, cereal, pb&j sandwiches, french fries, and that’s about it. He is the world’s pickiest eater and I am SO getting pay-back from when I did the same thing to my mom. We have started really putting forth the effort to eat dinner at the table together with no tv and feeding Noah whatever we are eating plus some fruit and it seems to be helping a little bit. But he has such a short attention span, he normally only sits at the table for 10 minutes.

He is so smart. I can’t even begin to name the words he can say because he talks so well all the time. In addition to his own words, he will repeat anything…ANYTHING you say. Daddy has to be careful with his road rage. :) Noah knows where his eyes, ears, hair, belly button, fingers and toes are and can point to them on himself or on you! He can count to two in english and in spanish (expect he skips dos and just says uno, tres!). He knows what sounds an elephant, dog, cat, horse, monkey and duck say.

He is a Mommy’s baby and that is 100% ok by me! I love that little stinker! He loves to play outside and asks us every single say to go ‘ousside, ousside’. He also loves to play in his ball pit, going for walks in his stroller (buggy), pushing around his big dump truck, pushing/filling up/dumping out his shopping cart, hiding in the living room curtains, being chased, loving on Bella, etc. He is ALL BOY!

18 months 6

His favorite tv show is Wheel of Fortune. We have recently pushed his bedtime back from 6:30pm to 7:00pm so he has a nightly ritual of sitting in his Daddy’s lap and watching the Wheel. He loves to do anything Daddy does, including cutting the grass!

We love him so much!
