Baseball

My nephews are playing baseball again this year so Friday, we went to the ballpark to watch!

This is Griffin

And this is Peyton

I’m pretty sure that their team won, but I spent the latter part of the game chasing around this guy…

You can’t tell, but his shirt says “My Auntie Rocks!” Friday was her birthday! So Noah had to give her a few extra good kisses!

I also got him a Happy Meal! He loves french fries (he’s definitely my child) so I made the mistake of trying to take our picture while he was eating and he just wasn’t having it.

And my favorite niece, Reece, helped me watch Noah while the game was going on!

Aren’t they precious?!?

Hopefully we will be attending a few more games this year! Maybe Noah will be more interested in watching the game next time!

Here I am!

I thought once I had Noah, I would blog alllll the time because I would have so much to say about my new baby boy! HA. While I love blogging all about him, I feel like I NEVER have time anymore! I guess that’s life with a one year old!

Noah is getting so big and he acts like such a big boy these days! He can say so many words, too! Bakkel (waffle), bottle (he means his cup, we have long been off the bottle!), Beh (Bella), Mommy, Daddy, doggy, chicken, bye-bye, Tracie (his teacher), good girl, cool (school), gone, and Pop (his grandfather)….I think that’s all of them!

And he is so smart! When he wants something to drink, he walks over to the fridge, points to it and says “Mommy!” When he is tired, he walks to his bedroom door, puts his thumb in his mouth and lays his head on the door!

One of his favorite things to do these days is tell Bella that she’s a good girl! He says it all.the.time. He’s even started saying good girl to people he sees! It’s hilarious! I love him so much!

Besides spending time with Noah, we have diligently been working on getting our Easter drama The Promise ready before our performances that start in two weeks! Ah! I’m getting pretty pumped about it!

And my newest addiction…

farmville

I played religiously before Noah (and while I was in labor…) but I gave it up once I had a new baby to take care of. Now that he’s a little more independent, I am back to farming! I LOVE IT!!!!!! I’ll be farming at 10pm and my husband will look at me and say, “You’re such a loser.” Ha.

I’ll convert him soon.

Sorry no pictures of Noah today. I also didn’t get any pictures of him bowling last weekend because he missed his afternoon nap and was a complete terd the whole time. But we do have a baseball game to attend this Friday night so hopefully I’ll get some of him then!

Bakkels

Let me tell you about a typical morning at our house. Daddy leaves for work around 6:00am, Mommy is getting ready for the day and Noah has just woken up. While I’m finishing up with my hair/makeup, Noah is standing up in his bed saying “Mommy! Mommy!” like he’s calling for me to come get him!

Around 6:20am, I go into the kitchen and put Noah’s waffle in the toaster. Then I go get Noah up and change his diaper. As I’m changing his diaper, we hear the POP of the waffle coming up from the toaster. Noah immediately cuts his eyes to me and whispers “bakkel?” My heart smiles. :)

Then I tell him “Yes Noah! Your waffle!” He then proceeds to sing an original song that goes a little something this like….

“Bakkel, bakkel, bakkelbakkelbakkel, BAKKEL, (then he changes it up by singing in a high pitched voice), BAAAAAKKKKEEELLLLLLLLLLL, bakkelbakkelbakkel, bakkel”

And he continues singing this song until he gets his waffle.

Then he doesn’t say much. :) Other than on occasional PRAISE THE LORD at how good his waffle is. See below.

Man, that kid loves bakkels.

I completely forgot to post yesterday! My friend was in labor so I was busy stalking her facebook page all day waiting for a baby update! Ha.

Why do new babies always give everybody baby fever? Including me! Noah needs a little sister!

Spring Break!

We are back from the beach and I am one tired Momma! We had so so much fun with Noah and are friends! Picture time! I’m #1 Mom-of-the-Year and forgot to bring the camera. Forgive the poor iPhone pictures!

Noah only slept for 30 minutes of the 4 hour drive! For some reason, he just can’t sleep in the car anymore. But for being way past his bedtime, he did awesome!

On the way down, we stopped and ate at McDonald’s. Noah is a people watcher, so he loved watching all the kids run around in there.

beach 2

The majority of the pictures I took of Noah are of him eating. 1-because that’s what he does most of the time and 2-my phone was readily available at meal times!

Ready to go to the beach! I love those little sunglasses, but he only wore them for 2.5 seconds. Notice the cell phone.

photo 2

He hated having sand on his hands. And he couldn’t quite figure out how to walk in the sand. But he loved kicking it, so he sat in my lap and kicked away!

Later we played putt-putt. I dominated, but what’s new? Yes I realize the little white hat makes him look like a girl, but we didn’t want him to get too hot and break his eczema out.

beach 7

He loved putt-putt for about 30 minutes. After that, he wanted to be pushed around in his stroller. If you stopped, he screamed! Fun times! But he was a trooper!

beach 8

Then on the 4 hour drive home, since he couldn’t sleep, he got bored and decided to chew on his toes.

beach 9

I wish I was that flexible!

While we were on vacation, Noah perfected taking his shoes off. And had Dippin’ Dots-he LOVED them!

We will be going back sooner than later!

The beach is calling me

We have been itching to go to the beach lately with the warmer weather we’ve been having (except for the last few days!). So this weekend, we are heading SOUTH! Hallelujah!

Because my body is a completely different shape post-baby AND because I have stretch marks out the wazzoo AND because my post-baby belly button grosses even ME out, I had to go bathing suit shopping. I loathe shopping for a bathing suit. I always end up getting depressed and frustrated and it takes me a loooong time to find one that fits me (big boobs, little everything else). So off to Target I went. The older I get, the more modest I get. So I wanted something that didn’t make me feel like I was prancing around in my underwear BUT that also didn’t make me look like a mawmaw.

Target

I found this! It has a strap that goes around the neck and it actually holds up the girls! I can’t believe I found a bathing suit the first day I looked and the first shop I went to! That never happens!

Since Noah was only a few months old the last time he went to the beach, he needed a new suit too!

noah bathing suit

Isn’t it precious?? I can’t wait to see what he thinks about the sand this time. Hopefully it won’t be too cold and we can actually wear our bathing suits!

This is what Noah looked like last year at the beach…

IMG_0494

He’s grown up so much! He will be 13 months old tomorrow!

Along with getting new bathing suits, I have been trying to tan. The first time I stayed in for 8 minutes and got so burnt I couldn’t go back for four days! That tells you how pale I am! I went back today and only stayed 5 minutes and didn’t burn. So hopefully I’ll be tan sometime this year!

Be on the lookout for beach pictures soon!
