Pumpkin
Or ‘munkin’. Either one. :)
Last weekend after we went to the pumpkin patch (and after a three hour nap!) we went to my nephew’s birthday party at a gymnastics place. Noah loves playing with big kids and he loves cake and ice cream so I knew he would have a blast!
I have gotten really bad about not taking my real camera anywhere and just using my iPhone to take pictures. I really need to get better about that! So sorry for the blurry pictures; I had a moving target!
This is me and the birthday boy! Isn’t he so cute??
That kid LOVES cupcakes. And his ‘cushons’.

Saturday, we got up bright and early and headed to the pumpkin patch. We loved the place we went to last year with Noah so we decided to go back there. I was very disappointed. They had less than half of the animals they had last year, we had to wait an hour and a half before they started the hay ride down to the pumpkin patch AND all of the pumpkins were about the size of a fist. Itty bitty pumpkins. I doubt we go back to this one anymore, but Noah didn’t know the difference and still had a blast!
Last year…
…and this year!
They built a little hay maze for the toddlers and Noah loved running around in there!
But Noah’s favorite part of the pumpkin patch was playing on the slides! (We are getting infamous for wardrobe changes!)
And in the girly playhouse…
Picking out his ‘munkins’ :)
And now he wants to carry his ‘munkins’ everywhere he goes, including diaper changes. He even tried to talk me in to letting him take them to bed. :)

Friday morning, our little family of three headed east to Atlanta to visit our friends for the weekend. I was super nervous about the (supposed to be) four hour car ride there because the last time we travelled to the beach (also a four hour car ride) with Noah was disastrous. I planned out plenty of stops along the way to stretch legs, change diapers, etc. Our first pit stop was at my happy place.
Did you just hear the angels singing the Hallelujah Chorus? Because I’m pretty sure I did. I haven’t been to the Hob Lob since before the tornado took ours away back in April! It was a fabulous first stop.
We also stopped at McDonald’s and had lunch, praying secretly that with a full belly Noah would for sure take his nap in the car. Ha. Ha. HA!!
He cried and he cried and he cried and he CRIED. Seriously about 75% of the trip over he cried and whined. Then he fell asleep for 15 minutes, woke up and continued crying. He hated being confined in his car seat and I’m wondering if he is getting a little motion sickness too. And we ended up getting in bumper-to-bumper traffic which made our 4 hour car trip turn into a 6 hour car trip! EEEEKKK!!! It was loads of fun for everyone.
Moving on. Saturday we went to the Atlanta Zoo and Noah loved it!
The ‘buds’
You can’t see the elephant (‘effy’) in the picture, but he was definitely Noah’s favorite animal!
The stinky warthogs. Doesn’t he look thrilled?
He really did have fun. I promise!
The zoo also had a petting area with goats and pigs that Noah LOVED!
Funny story. This goat was intently chewing on a piece of wood, so Noah decided it must taste pretty good. So he decided to try it.
We had a super fun time with our friends and the car ride back was much less eventful! However, we decided that Noah will no longer be traveling with us until he is 18. ;)

Saturday, we got up bright and early and headed to the park to play! The weather was perfect, just enough chill in the air to fee like fall.
The playground that we went to had four different slides, all of various heights.
See the tallest one on the right? Yeah, that’s the one Noah decided would be the most fun. So he climbed up.
And up.
And seriously attempted to go head first down the slide by himself.
Luckily, Daddy was there to make sure he didn’t slide by himself, but I almost had a heart attack right there. My child is fearless and it makes me a nervous wreck!
And yes, we had a quick wardrobe change while we were there because it started warming up!
Eventually, after Noah kept sliding down and then saying “Again! Again!” Daddy got tired so Mommy had to slide. I’m not even going to lie, I was a little scared looking down at how far we had to slide!
But we made it just fine!
Then we stopped for a snack.
And picked up some stray trash to throw away.
And finally posed for a few family photos…
…and then we went home and took a nap! It was a good morning!
