2 week checkup

We went to the doctor on Wednesday. Noah weighed 8 lb 15 oz! He's gained 1 lb 7 oz since we left the hospital! He also grew 3/4 of an inch. The doctor said she was really proud of him and he was in perfect health!

I asked her about the Enfamil Gentlease formula and she said that since he was fussy and gassy that it wouldn't hurt to try it. She said that it helps some babies and others it doesn't...so she gave us some samples (yeah!) to try to see if it helped Noah or not. We have been using it since Wednesday and so far, Noah seems a lot less gassy. We haven't had to give him hardly any Mylicon drops!

I also figured out that after I feed him at night, if I rock him for 10-15 minutes, he falls into a decent sleep and I can just lay him down and go to bed! Normally, I would lay him down awake and then play the 'paci game'....you know, where he drops the paci, crys, I put it back in, go back to bed, paci falls out, again again again and he would fight sleep and stay awake for an hour. Now we are both getting a little more sleep! Babies should really come with instruction manuals!

I am thinking of going back to work on March 8th. Noah will be one day shy of being 4 weeks. I am SO ready to get back some sort of normalcy and routine. And I ready to feel like a human again! Plus I really love my job and I'll be taking Noah with me to work until he's six months old. Physically, I feel ready to go back to work today.....but I'm still a little worried about how I'll function at work off the few hours of sleep I'm getting at night. And I would like Noah to get on some sort of routine before I go back....but hopefully everything will just kind of fall into place.

And now something for Daddy.....Noah's first National Championship shirt!

He threw up allllll over this outfit before Daddy got home from work to see him in it!

And now I need some advice. How did you lose the baby weight? I know it's only been 2 weeks, but I'm tired of feeling like a fat cow and not being able to wear any of my clothes!! Did the weight just eventually fall off? Did you diet?? I need answers people!

As far as the formula goes, good luck with the Gentlease! So far, we've been pretty lucky with Enfamil Premium Lipil. As far as the baby weight, I think it will fall off especially if you're taking walks with your little one (that's what helped me.) I weigh what I did before I got pregnant but my body is flabby and not attractive, lol. I'm joining a gym soon that has childcare so hopefully I can tone everything up. Good luck getting back in shape, you'll get there! Just give yourself some time.

Hello :) I'm new to blogging but came across your blog and instantly fell in love! My sister had a baby (my adorable niece) almost 2 years ago and she did weight watchers soon after to get off any access baby weight that insisted on sticking around. However, I would just enjoy your little one and not do too much worrying. :)

I'm glad the appointment went well. Noah is so cute!!

I'll be interested to see how everyone got their baby weight off...I'm going to be in the same boat in a few weeks.
