What we’ve been up to

Last week was a looong week. Noah’s babysitter had some things come up so he went to work with me all week…which led to a VERY tired Mommy and a VERY attached baby. I didn’t think babies were supposed to experience separation anxiety this early, but Noah definitely doesn’t like for me to be out of sight these days.

BUT we still had a fun week.

We worked hard checking on rental property with Aunt April

We tried on sunglasses at Wal-Mart (sitting like a big boy in the stroller!!)…

And we mastered our new favorite past-time. Spraying Mommy and getting ALL of our extra outfits dirty!

Noah also got his first cold on Saturday. NOT fun! His little nose just pours but is stopped up at the same time! He can’t breathe well at night….which makes for some looooong nights for Mommy and Daddy.

He also has mastered rolling over, both ways. We lay him in his bed at night and somehow he manages to roll over in his sleep and ends up waking up screaming because an arm or leg has gotten caught in the crib railing. Do yall know of anything we could use to put around the edges of the crib to prevent that from happening? I know I could just put his bumpers back on but I’m scared he will suffocate now that he’s more mobile. Any suggestions?

Sometime this week (maybe tomorrow?) I’ll post some of Noah’s 3 month pictures that we had taken and some pictures of his second swimming session!

Breathable Bumpers. Search for them at Babies R Us. :)

Uh, Jax is sick too! I can't wait for this to be over!

Drake just did the same thing during his nap today! My friend suggested a breathable bumper. I'm not sure if you can buy them in the store, but I know you can get them online for about $25.

It's nice that you can take him to work with you! Do you use a sling/baby carrier?

I'm not a mommy yet but I've seen these breathable crib bumpers before - maybe they would work? They'd stop his arms from going between the rails but he could still breathe through them if he rolled into them!

Google "breathable bumper." Maybe that will help!

we have the same problem with our 2 month old sticking her arms and legs out of the crib. I'm scared to put the bumpers back on the inside of the crib so I tied them on the outside of the crib rails and I think it did the trick. And it's far enough to where if her head is against the rails she still has breathing room.

Thanks for the advice yall! Amber, I used a sling until he was about 2 months old. Then he decided that he HATED it and I haven't picked it up since. I have a ton of stuff to keep him a little occupied though...a tv, bouncey seat, exersaucer, swing, pack-n-play, you name it!
