Six days after my wreck, I FINALLY have a rental car. Poor Brad has been having to drive his old truck with NO air conditioning. :( I hate having to keep bugging the insurance agent but if I don’t bug him to death, nothing gets done! It’s SO aggravating.
Here she is…
I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at the car I got. It was one of the better cars on the lot, a 2010 Kia. I was so scared I would get an old minivan or a rinky-dink little vroom vroom car. I just hate going from a big SUV to a little car….NO room and I feel like I’m literally sitting on the ground and all the other cars are going to squish me!
But back to hassling insurance people….when I dropped my Expedition key off at the body shop that it was towed to, I asked them to go ahead and give me an estimate to repair it. The girl said that they were short-handed and she couldn’t tell me how long it would take to get an estimate right then. I said ok and asked her to just call me when she found out something.
Then today, I go by to get some things out of the car and realize it hasn’t been moved at all. I go in the office and ask why they haven’t started working on my estimate and they tell me that they can’t do anything until the insurance agent calls them. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excuse me!??! What the crap does that have to do with the price of cotton in China? What if I was paying for it myself? I seriously do not understand. And then when I told the dude that I sent the police report to the insurance agent that morning, he said that since I just sent it in, it will take at least 3-4 more days for the adjuster to come look at my car and THEN they can start working on an estimate! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO….I’m sure you will be hearing a LOT more ranting from me for the next little while. I apologize in advance. :)
