How far along? 36 weeks, 2 days

Total weight gain/loss:  Up 37 lbs.

Maternity clothes: Oh yeah!

Stretch marks: I can’t really tell if I have any new ones or not. I guess we will find out after the baby gets here!

Sleep: Ok. The longer I lay down, the more pressure I put on my hips. It’s no fun limping to the bathroom in the middle of the night!

Best moment this week: Game night with friends on Friday night!

Movement: He has finally slowed down a bit.

Food cravings/aversions: I’m no longer craving ice! My doctor said I am anemic, so I’ve been taking an iron supplement and I guess it’s working! Last night I craved a cheeseburger. But mostly everything just tastes funny these days. I’ll get a craving for something and as soon as I bite into it, it tastes weird to me.

Gender: Boy!

Labor signs: Welllllllll, I started having contractions yesterday during church. After we ate lunch, I decided to lay down to try and get them to stop. They continued for an hour or so and I decided I better start timing them. A few were even taking my breath away. At first they were every 5 or so minutes apart, then every 2-3 minutes. I had about 18 contractions in the hour that I timed them. So I called my doctor and he told me to go to labor and delivery. We got there, they strapped me in, and BOOM. Three little teeny contractions in an hour. Why does that always happen??!?! But I am a fingertip dilated now so at least I’m making some progress. The baby is still really high so I need to start doing jumping jacks or something! :)

Belly button in or out: Out

What I miss: Nothing really. I’m just excited for Cason to get here!

What I am looking forward to: Ultrasound today to track baby’s growth! I’m hoping I’ll get to sneak in a quick 4D shot.

Weekly wisdom: It’s a good idea to have your bags packed by now! I need to finish up on that…

Milestone: One week until full term!

35 weeks

How far along? 35 weeks, 2 days

Total weight gain/loss: I have no idea. I didn’t feel like weighing myself this week. :)

Maternity clothes: Even my maternity pants are getting a little snug.

Stretch marks: Same ones

Sleep: It’s been better. When I actually do sleep, it’s pretty good. But I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night wide awake! And I stay awake for a few hours which makes for a long day.

Best moment this week: Trick-or-treating with my family was fun!

Movement: My insides stay sore from him kicking all the time! Yesterday Brad and I were laying in bed and Cason kept kicking Brad in the arm!

Food cravings/aversions: Crystal Light, ice (I didn’t get to see my doctor last week to ask him about being anemic, so I’ll find out this week), salad. AND for some reason this week, I really don’t like the taste of Mountain Dew?!?!? My taste buds are all out of whack!

Gender: Boy!

Labor signs: A few little braxton-hicks

Belly button in or out: Out

What I miss: Being able to get a good breath

What I am looking forward to: Doctor’s appointment today!

Weekly wisdom: Sitting down to get ready in the mornings saves a lot of energy.

Milestone: I’m as pregnant as my mother-in-law was when she had Brad!

How far along? 34 weeks, 2 days

Total weight gain/loss: Up 32 lbs. At this point with Noah, I had gained 44 lbs!

Maternity clothes: Yes please! I can’t wait to fit back in to my old clothes again!

Stretch marks: Same ones

Sleep: Awesome. One night this past week I was really restless and hurting so I took some Tylenol PM and that conked me right out!

Best moment this week: We had our annual fall festival at church yesterday. Noah had so much fun! This year he decided he wanted to be Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates!

This is the best picture I could get out of him. He was ready to go get some candy!

noah halloween 2013

And Cason decided to be a pumpkin this year!

cason halloween 2013

Movement: Constant! He loves to keep his feet on the left side of my belly.

Food cravings/aversions: ICE! I think I must be anemic. I will be talking to the doctor about this on Wednesday! I just want to crunch it all day long. And at 1am. Also, since Brad and I have been trying to cook more, I constantly smell onions. It’s weird. And I’m loving strawberry flavored Frosted Miniwheats. Yum!

Gender: Boy!

Labor signs: A couple BH, but nothing bad.

Belly button in or out: OUT

What I miss: As much as I love the belly, it’s starting to get in the way a lot now. So I miss not having the belly, but when it’s gone I know I’ll miss the big belly!

What I am looking forward to: Starting weekly doctors appointment’s this week. Home stretch!

Weekly wisdom: ALWAYS keep Tums handy. I had to send my poor husband out at 3am to go find me some. I thought I was about to breathe fire like a dragon! It was awful! Thankfully, I have an awesome husband!

Milestone: The car has been cleaned out (thanks again to the hubs!!) and the carseat base is installed! Eeeek!!

How far along? 33 weeks, 2 days

Total weight gain/loss: Up 30 lbs. If you are keeping tabs, that’s 3 lbs in ONE WEEK! I am just starving lately. Obviously.

Maternity clothes: No not at all. I wear my size 4 pants all the time.

Stretch marks: Same ones

Sleep: Great! Cason still loves to drag his foot across my belly and kick the bed.

Best moment this week: Having an uneventful week!

Movement: He’s still moving all the time. I figured by now he would have slowed down, but he hasn’t!

Food cravings/aversions: Strawberry orange banana flavored Crystal Light with CRUSHED ICE!! Yum that makes me want some. Chocolate. A grape slushy from Sonic sounds good, too. And fajitas.

Gender: Boy!

Labor signs: Just a few BH.

Belly button in or out: Out. Noah wants to look at it every once in a while and he just says, “Aww. Does that hurt?” :)

What I miss: Having a lot of energy and being able to do things without needing to rest so often

What I am looking forward to: Cleaning out my car and installing the carseat! This is my goal for the week!

Weekly wisdom: I’m fresh out of wisdom today!

Milestone: Only 4 more weeks until we are full term!!

How far along? 32 weeks, 2 days

Total weight gain/loss: Up 27 lbs. At this point in my last pregnancy, I had gained 37 lbs!!

Maternity clothes: I had to start packing away some maternity clothes that are TOO SMALL now!

Stretch marks: Same ones

Sleep: Great this week. I usually wake up a few times to potty and I wake up once around 2-3am starving and I have to eat, but I can normally go right back to sleep.

Best moment this week: Celebrating my grandmother’s 85th birthday!

Movement: Still moving around a good bit. Sometimes he likes to get his little foot and draaaag it down the side of my belly. Ouch!

Food cravings/aversions: Strawberry orange banana flavored Crystal Light with CRUSHED ICE!! And I still can’t stand the smell of bbq. Yuck.

Gender: Boy!

Labor signs: Still having a few BH contractions, but not as bad since I’ve been resting a lot.

Belly button in or out: It keeps poking out further and further.

What I miss: Not having fat-face and an ice cold Red Bull!

What I am looking forward to: Finishing up the nursery and installing the carseat!

Weekly wisdom: For me, a lot of walking causes contractions and a lot of sitting causes hip pain. So sit mostly and take stretch breaks to prevent both!

Milestone: Just a few more weeks and it could be any day!

31 weeks

SONY DSC

How far along? 31 weeks, 2 days

Total weight gain/loss: Up 26 lbs

Maternity clothes: Yes! I can’t even wear my old t-shirts anymore.

Stretch marks: Same ones

Sleep: I’ve been sleeping really well, but having CRAZY dreams….Cason being born with 26 toes on one foot, birthing a dachshund instead of a baby, you get the idea.

Best moment this week: We snuck in another ultrasound and got to see our sweet boy sucking his thumb!

Movement: All the time! I’m going to miss that.

Food cravings/aversions: I’m still craving fruit!

Gender: Boy!

Labor signs: I haven’t had as many BH contractions this week, thankfully. My doctor said that if I have several in a row, to lay down and drink two big glasses of water and that should make them go away. It’s worked so far! I'm trying to really take it easy though.

Belly button in or out: Out!

What I miss: Not having fat-face

What I am looking forward to: Cason getting here! Labor, delivery, everything. I’m ready to do this!

Weekly wisdom: Blue jeans are highly uncomfortable at this stage!

Milestone: Curtains hung in the nursery. It’s slowly getting done!

A day in the life!

I’ve been wanting to do one of these posts for a while, but never made the time to actually do it until yesterday!

2:00am-I wake up to pee and realize I'm pretty hungry. I grab a Chobani yogurt (blueberry!) and get back in bed, turning on the tv to watch Chopped. After the yogurt, I'm still hungry and I can tell Cason isn't going to sleep anytime soon. Back to the kitchen I go for a pack of little muffins and a water. That fills us up. I continue watching tv and fall back asleep around 3:00am.

5:45am-My alarm goes off. Snooze!

5:54am-The alarm goes off again. I get up and start getting ready for the day.

6:15am-Time to wake up Noah. I go to his room and he pops right up and says, "Well hey Mommy!" I hug him and carry him to my bed. He kisses his Daddy and I turn the tv on to what he requests-Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He also asks for some juice and a cereal bar, so I bring him that. Brad gets up and I finish getting myself ready, along with Noah.

6:50am- The boys are leaving for work and school. I give kisses and hugs and they leave. I fix myself a bagel and let Bella outside, then put her in her room. I'm out the door by 7:00am.

7:00am- My drive to work consists of listening to Rick and Bubba on the radio and scarfing down my bagel.

7:10am- I get to work, check emails, Facebook, balance our checkbook, work on this blog post :), and mentally prepare myself for the day ahead. And I also drink my morning Mt Dew!

8:00am-My ride-around buddy arrives and we head out to check on some jobs.

8:40am-I'm back at the office, doing some paperwork. I make a trip to Lowe's with a subcontractor, go with my Dad to look at some properties we are thinking about buying, do some more office work.

11:00am- Time for lunch! April, Brooks and I head to Newk's to meet our Dad.

11:45am- We leave and head to the gym to check on things there.

12:20pm- Time for my 4D ultrasound! April, Brooks and I meet Brad at the hospital. We find out that someone had to have an emergency surgery that required the 4D machine and the two other 4D probes are being worked on. Dang! So we do a regular ultrasound instead. Our sweet boy weighs 3 lb 4 oz, was sucking his thumb and has a huge package! :)

1:00pm- We get back to the office.

2:00pm- I head to my doctor's appt!

3:15pm- Everything is looking fab with the baby. I'm hungry so I head to Chick-fil-A and order a salad and a lemonade.

3:40pm- I get back to the office, eat my salad and do some more office work.

4:45pm- It’s time to leave work! I head to Noah’s school to pick him up. His class is blowing bubbles on the front steps of the church and when he sees me, he gets super excited! I get a big hug and we head to the car. He tells me he had an accident today…. I tell him that we are putting his toys up when we get home! We head to McDonald’s to get something to eat before church. I roll down the window to order and the smell of french fries makes me want to gag! I order him a happy meal and he eats it on the way to church.

5:30pm- We get to church and still have about 10 minutes to kill before I want to drop him off at his class, so he watches The Incredibles while I play Candy Crush on my phone.

5:40pm- We walk inside and I take Noah to his class, then walk alllllllllll the way across the church to my class.

7:00pm-Church is over and I go pick Noah up and we head home. Brad goes to another class that is located off-campus, so a few minutes later he calls to tell me he is heading home too.

7:15pm- Daddy is home! We all talk about our day, then we change Noah into his jammies.

7:30pm- We put Noah to bed. He wants to watch Little Einsteins tonight. We get big hugs and sugar and tell him good night.

7:40pm- Mommy and Daddy are starving! Brad makes himself some sandwiches/grapes and I make myself a wrap/nectarine and we settle in front of the tv to watch Survivor!

8:00pm- I’m tired of sitting up, so we move to the bedroom to finish watching Survivor.

8:30pm- Survivor is done and I can barely hold my eyes open. Brad always stays up later than me and watches tv, so I tell him I love him and I’m out!

And there you have it! :)
