Wheel....of....FORTUNE!!!!

I'm watching Wheel of Fortune. The show just came back from a commercial break and Pat Sajak says, "If you think hosting a game show after eating a Goober is easy, IT'S NOT!!" What is he smoking?!?!? I would kick butt on Wheel if I could ever make it on the show. Did you know I auditioned for Wheel when the Wheel Mobile came to Birmingham?? And when I say auditioned, I mean that I put my name on a piece of paper, along with the 500 thousand other people there, and hoped that they would draw my name out! They didn't, their loss! But seriously-one time on the bonus puzzle, it read: _ _ _ H _ _ _ D and the catergory was Thing. Without missing a beat I said, "Fish Food" and it was RIGHT! Why will they not get me on that show?!?!! Because they don't want to give away millions of dollars! That's why!

By the way, I just ate FOUR pieces of pizza. FOUR. And three little teeny tiny breadsticks! Fat Cow!

Taboo

I used to play this game ALL THE TIME as a kid. So Brad and I decided that we would buy the game to play with some friends Saturday night. It was boys against girls and we girls were sucking it up big time. The guys had some serious ESP going on....they beat us every time we played!! Let me tell you how to play Taboo so that you will understand the funny thing I'm about to tell you. Basically you get a card that says a word on it like 'apple'. You try to get your team to guess the word on the card BUT there are five other words on the card that you can NOT say to try to get them to guess 'apple'. For instance, 'cider' 'fruit' 'new york city'....you get the point. So to get them to say 'apple' you would have to say, "A ____ a day keeps the doctor away" or something like that. ANYWAY the boys were trying to guess a word and my husband was the clue giver. The word was "Arnold Schwarzenegger" so Brad gave his clue...."The Governor of Georgia" and Chris, one of our friends, says, "Arnold Schwarzenegger!!!" Ummm.....Since when is Arnold the Governor of Georgia??? And how did he get that right?!?!!?

Baby Safari Quilt

I've been quilting allllll weekend. My goal was to have the quilt finished by Sunday, today, for a baby shower. Well things didn't progress as quickly as I planned...but I'm sure there will be more baby showers in my future!

It took me over a week to get all the fabric cut into the square pieces. Thank goodness I bought that rotary cutter! It would have taken me forever cutting with scissors!

This was my first completed square.

And this is what I have completed so far. The top will be three squares wide (what's shown in the picture) and four squares long.

And this is my work space! My table is tall and I'm very short so I'm having to use the box that the sewing machine came in as a step stool so that I can reach the foot control!

I had a wonderful, relaxing weekend...and Bunco tomorrow night! I can't wait!

It's here!

My ginormous picture came in yesterday and so I dropped it off at The Frame Shack to be framed. And here it is today! Woot Woot!

That sucker is heavy, let me tell you. Brad is very hurt that we could afford to frame this, but we 'can't afford to frame Rocky Stop' (or at least that's what I tell him!)

My fabulous hair stylist had her baby, Nate, yesterday so we are going to see him tonight! I am so excited! I can't wait! Did you know that if we get pregnant this month, I am already technically five days pregnant???? Woo Hoo!!!

Brad's Gift

As I was 'managing property' this morning, Mom and I came across something that I'm thinking about giving to my husband. He's always junking up the garage with his tools and things so this gift would be the perfect present for him! In fact, it already has his name on it!

What do you think?

Love him!

I had one wall in my living room that needed something on it. If my husband had his way, the wall would have been taken up by a framed picture of "Rocky Stop" but one Daniel Moore painting is all I can take in my living room at one time! So instead, I decided that nothing would be better than a picture of us! In fact, a HUGE picture of us! Two feet by three feet to be exact!

Quilts

As promised, here is an updated picture of my grandmother's garden quilt. Sorry the picture is so dark, I don't know why it did that. I whipped out a flower in no time on my machine but it puckered a lot so I decided that I really just need to hand quilt this one. The shapes are so hard to work with on the machine.

I've been shopping a lot lately at the fabric stores in town getting a rotary cutter and mat, pins, needles, etc. and while shopping I found a 'quilt in a bag', as I have named it. The bag contained the fabric in the picture below and instructions for making a baby quilt. So I'm going to be working on that, too.

I got started on the Safari quilt last night and I am hoping that one won't take me long at all.

Now to change the subject, let's talk about baby making! Thank you all so much for the love and support you have shown me. I tend to let my mind run farther than it should sometimes and now I think I got a little carried away with the whole situation. So thank you again for the kind words. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before we are PG!
