In every baby book that I've read so far (probably about 5-6) it states clearly what expecting or expecting to be expecting mothers should stay away from. The main things are alcohol, tobacco, drugs and stress. I'm good with staying away from 3 out of 4 of those things but I can never seem to get away from stress, mainly work stress. And moreso now with the economy the way it's been. People aren't renting houses as much, a lot of people are moving in with other family members, and it gets harder and harder to actually get the rent from current tenants. And when tenants leave houses, 70% of them leave the house completely trashed. So we have to use the money we are NOT getting from our current tenants to pay to have the trashed house redone so someone ELSE can come in and trash it. So all that added to the fact that I'm a 22 year old female bossing around a couple of 40something year old maintenance men that don't want to listen to me. And all THAT added to the fact that my Dad is the hardest person to be around in the business world. And I have to answer to him and explain to him on a daily basis why houses aren't being rented or why vacant houses aren't being readily turned over to being rentable again or why people aren't paying their rent and why the crap my 40something year old maintenance man isn't doing what I specifically tell him to do. How am I supposed to keep my stress level in check and as low as possible with all of this on my shoulders every day?
