We won! Not that I paid any attention to the game, whatsoever. This has been a very interesting weekend and I promise to post the details of Friday night as soon as I have the energy to relive it! But for now, I'll fast forward to Saturday! The game didn't start until 8:00pm so we had all day to kill. Well because of the fiasco that was Friday night, we had to check out of our hotel room Saturday by 11:00am and couldn't check back in until late that night....SO we had to hang out in Brad's brother's family's room all day Saturday (thanks Keith and Heaven!!). So we basically laid around all day, which I was more than happy to do knowing what was ahead of me! We eventually headed to the Georgia Dome and had to walk a mile or so to get to it. Not fun. AND our seats were like three rows from the TOP of the dome. So needless to say, by the time we sat down I was pretty much done and ready to go home. My expanding belly (and the precious cargo inside) has made me extremely claustrophobic and that doesn't mesh well with large (drunk) crowds. Anyway, we got to our seats about an hour before the game started. I was SO tired when we finally sat down that I had ZERO interest in watching the game. Almost everyone around me was drunk, loud and cussing like sailors. Not fun. So I played on my cell phone the entire game and tried my VERY best to hold my eyes open.
Brad and I before the game. Do I look tired to you? Dang he's hot.
The pregame show was pretty good though. I love watching the bands march. After each band played a while, both bands got on the field together (spelling VT and UA in case you can't make it out) and they played the National Anthem under the direction of the founder of Chick-fil-A. That was pretty cool.
Baby taking a good nap...wish I could have done the same!
You can't see it, but that's the final score on the board, 34-24. (and a bunch of empty VT seats!)
After the game, we walked the mile out of the dome and the other mile back to our car...in the large drunker crowd...at around midnight....NOT FUN. Can anyone say round ligament pain??? I thought I was dying. The longer we walked, the more I turned into a zombie. Towards the end, I couldn't even feel my legs moving. They were just walking on their own and I was just along for the ride.
So I made the executive decision for baby and me that we probably won't be attending that many games this year. I mean, I'm only 17 weeks now. I can't imagine walking that far and through that crowd as I get bigger. Sacrifices, people, sacrifices.
Post on Friday night and today coming up soon!
