Naps

4-26-10

Look at how big my baby boy is getting! Yesterday our pastor told the congregation that we must be feeding him fertilizer!

But I need some advice. As you know, I take Noah to work with me (perks of working for my Dad). Here lately, he won’t hardly sleep during the day. He will take 5-10 minute powernaps throughout the day but won’t ever take a good nap. So it’s really hard for me to get things done and he ends up being SUPER tired at the end of the day. Any ideas of how I can get him to take longer daytime naps?

Other than the naps, things are going fabulously with Noah. He is getting bigger and bigger every day and showing more personality, too! He may look exactly like his Daddy, but he definitely gets his patience (or lack there of) and attitude from his Mommy!

Have a great week!

You have absolutely no diea who I am, but had similar issues with my little one. I was not at work with her and I am not sure what your offie setup is like but if you are able, I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought a $20 sounds machine and that white noise and it got her through it and now she sleeps perfectly. She still uses it but she can sleep without it. It works like a dream. Just an idea though.

I love that car seat cover! What brand is that?

Anon-The carseat is Safety First. I bought it at Target before I was even pregnant...they don't sell it anymore but I'm sure you can find it online somewhere.

Well I love it. Wish I could find it, but I bet it's only a infant carrier and I need a convertible one

Naps get better with time. My little one was the king of catnaps until just about a month ago (he's 5 months old now). Now he takes 2 long naps a day and one catnap in the early evening. It was rough for a while there though so I definitely know what you're going through- it's hard to get anything done!! Like most things with babies, it's a phase that will pass. Good luck!

I just put my baby MaryAnne in her crib/ pack-n-play and let her lay there and lay there until she finally goes to sleep and now she take 2-3 hour naps!:)
