Teething

So I know it’s really really soon, but I think Noah may be teething already. All of a sudden he started to drool/slobber constantly. We go through 2-3 bibs a day just at work!

And he always has his fist in his mouth, chewing on his fingers. I felt around on his gums and they don’t feel swollen or anything so I don’t know if he is teething or not.

But he has also been really cranky for the past couple of days. So I dug through his armoire and found some teethers that people bought us for his showers and such and gave them to him to play with.

Those were a big hit! He can grab on to them very easily. We even put some on his carseat with a fish attached to the end and he held on to it all the way to church last night!

Yesterday I froze a teether at work and gave it to him.

Another hit! He LOVES that thing! The only problem is that it doesn’t have handles or anything on it so it’s hard for him to hold onto. And it’s a little difficult for him to figure out how to hold it and bring it up to his mouth, but he’s starting to figure that out.

He licks it like a popsicle!

He will be three months on Sunday. Did any of your babies ever teethe this early or am I just getting ahead of myself?

(And to update yall-naps are a little better. I think he’s just a light sleeper during the day, so I’ve been trying to stay out of the room he’s asleep in and work in another room. That seems to be helping a little bit. Thanks for yall’s comments on that post!)

(OH! And to update yall on me….I’ve lost a total of 27 pounds with WW! Only 3 more pounds to lose before I’m at my pre-pregnancy weight!)

You don't know me but my son is now three months and doing the same thing yours is.....needless to say I think mine is starting his teething now. Because it is definitely getting more painful to feed him.

So you're not alone.

He could definitely be teething. Jax started doing all of the same things right around three months. He'll be 4 months old tomorrow and he's still drooling like crazy, being a little cranky and shoving his fists in his mouth but I still haven't found any bumps or anything either. I'm thinking it's the beginning of teething. Great job on the weight loss!

Hey Allison, I've been a follower for a little while now. I have a 5 month old little girl who also drools constantly and always has her hands and her bibs in her mouth. She has not started teething yet. My son didn't start teething until he was 9 months old but I also know little ones who started around 3 or 4 months old. My DR said when little ones start to get teeth can be genetic - do you know when you and your hubbs started teething?!

It could definately be early stages of teething. I remember Grace drooling really bad and chewing on stuff a lot when she was around 4 months. I just knew she was going to have a tooth come through any day. But she didn't get her first tooth until she was 8 months old. So, it may be a while before he actually gets a tooth, or he could get his early like some babies.
That last picture is so precious of him smiling! All of them are, but that one is too cute!
Way to go on the weight loss! I got my old WW stuff out the other day, but I haven't started on it yet. It's hard to count points when I always cook our meals at night... Gotta figure that out soon.

Hooray for you on the post-baby weight loss. Keep up the good work! I am due in two weeks, and I can't wait to try to get this weight off! Look out WW, here I come!
